Having seen one of the photographs showing 9 ales on tap we came here. With some pubs there might be photographs with a good selection on and when you go, it's quite the opposite. We arrived and weren't disappointed. 3 "black country brewery" ales on tap plus Salopian Lemon dream, 2 ciders and another few ales. We stayed 2 nights 11th & 12th August as my niece was getting married at Avoncroft museum. After we arrived late Friday afternoon armed with directions we strolled down to Avoncroft which took max 10 mins. On our return we spent the evening in the bar trying some of the ales & talking to Gary the manager & some of the very friendly locals. We're lucky to have a traditional real ale pub as our local, and I must say, it's an absolute gem. There's a great selection of real ales, ciders and a relaxing fireside atmosphere that is perfect for unwinding after a long day or on a rainy day.
