The Robin Hood
Rashwood, DroitwichWe stopped to use the chademo car charger as we were heading south on the M5 and the pub was 5 minutes from the motorway.\nEven though it was Sunday lunchtime and the pub was busy they were able to find us a table in the lounge and were very friendly and welcoming.\nThey provided kids menus for our 2 daughters and we ordered quickly at the bar; our delicious freshly cooked meals arrived within 20 minutes and we all enjoyed our lunch (burger & chicken nuggets for the girls, homemade chicken, leek & pancetta pie for myself & husband with fresh veg & mash).\nMeals were priced fairly and the pub was furnished traditionally with a lovely open wood fire.\nI would highly recommend and would visit again when travelling in this direction.

Old Cock Inn
Friar St, DroitwichThe Old Cock is everything you’d want from a great local pub. It has a lovely, friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door. The food is honest and hearty, no fuss, just proper meals with generous portions. There’s a great variety on the menu, so there’s always something for everyone, whether you’re popping in for a quick bite or sitting down for a full meal.\n\nThe beer selection is excellent, with a wide range of quality options on tap, clearly a place that takes pride in its pints. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and really add to the charm of the place. They, along with the management, have been working incredibly hard during the recent heat wave, and their effort and good humour haven’t gone unnoticed.\n\nIt can get busy, especially on evenings and weekends, so it’s worth booking ahead if you can. That said, the buzz only adds to the character of the pub.\n\nIt’s also the perfect spot for a pre-show meal if you’re heading to the Norbury Theatre just over the road. Just make sure to book early and let the staff know you’re going to a show, they’ll book you in early enough to make sure you’re well fed and out in plenty of time.\n\nMy only small gripe (and this isn't a criticism of the pub) is the recent introduction of a QR code ordering system. While I understand the convenience, it takes away a bit of the soul and interaction that makes pubs like this so special. Part of the magic here is chatting with the staff and some of the regulars, something a screen can never replace. From what I gather, this was a brewery decision rather than one made by the pub itself. There’s a time and place for QR codes, but in a warm, community-driven pub like this, it feels a bit out of place.\n\nAll in all, though, The Old Cock remains a fantastic spot, a true community pub that’s well worth a visit.

The Chequers
Kidderminster Rd, Cutnall Green, DroitwichWe used to visit The Chequers regularly under the previous ownership but became very disillusioned with the poor service so stopped going. We thought it was about time we gave it another try under the new ownership and we weren’t disappointed! The food was as delicious as ever and the service was second to none. No more having to sit there with dirty plates in front of you for what seemed like an eternity, no more having to wait and wait for them to come and take your order. These guys were on the ball. Very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be going back. Thank you for resurrecting our favourite restaurant.

Harvester Wych Way In Droitwich
Worcester Rd, Droitwich Spa, Wychbold, Droitwich\nThe Harvester Which Way, situated in Wychbold just outside Droitwich, offers a convenient stop for travellers. Its location makes it accessible, and dedicated parking is usually available. Inside, expect the familiar Harvester experience: family-friendly, unlimited salad bar, and classic grill menu. Recent visitors highlight the brilliant service and friendly atmosphere, often singling out staff members like Sharon as amazing. While perhaps not a super-speedy pit stop, it's a reliable, good-value spot for a comfortable meal break if you're driving through the Droitwich area, boosted by potentially excellent and personable service.\n

Coffee was also lovely, though a little frothy for a latte.
The entire time I was there (about an hour) they played exclusively ABBA music on the radio, I sincerely approve of this decision-

Bengal Spice
North Street Industrial Estate, 35 North St, DroitwichWe were staying around the corner so decided to order on Just Eat and collect ourselves. It's takeout only, but the waiting area is clean and orderly. My Chicken Jalfrezi was spicy with chopped green chilies and fresh chunky onion and green peppers. The Lamb Biriyani was milder but really good too. The plain naan was a little on the tough side. Compensation popadoms was a really nice addition to start. Very reasonably priced too.

1 Victoria Square, Droitwich Spa, DroitwichOverall great experience at Droitwich. We chose to collect and walked through the door just as the Pizza was coming out of the oven sizzling in front of us viewed from the counter. The server was polite and gave an extra garlic sauce. Castle
73 Worcester Rd, DroitwichWhat a fab pub/restaurant! A family of four with a young toddler, the food was great, grilled favourites served hot and delicious, and such great value for money, even serving vegan choices - which meant having a toddler with a severe dairy intolerance, made the evening super relaxing. The icing on the cake though, the staff and service…impeccable. Everyone was so friendly, and helpful, even when our toddler wanted to constantly explore everywhere! It made for a truly enjoyable experience. With lovely surroundings, spotless loos, you know we’ll be visiting again regularly! The staff here are definitely the kings of this Castle, 10/10.

Venture In Restaurant
Main Road, Ombersley, DroitwichThe chef patron has been here 26 years, the restaurant manager 22 and there is still a quiet passion and a desire to get everything right. It is traditional food but rooted in excellent technique and it cares about the customer. The wine list is exclusively from Tanners and all the better for that. The price point may initially seem high but you get a lot for your money here and end up thinking it is well worth it. Difficult to book as they don't have online booking and the phone often goes to answering machine but its worth persevering. A real find which is odd given its longevity but it is one of the best for miles.
