Quirky and very cosy pub in a beautiful location! Waiting staff were very professional and attentive! Only thing we were disappointed with was where we were sat, it was a bit tight! Delicious food! ? We had: A complimentary amuse-bouche of vegetable samosas. Not as good as I rememberā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦so we went for Sunday lunch. There were four of us - we didnāt have starters, then we had the pork, turkey and beef. Positives - the meals arrived hot with additional gravy and the vegetables came in baskets / dishes for you to self serve. The lowsā¦.. my turkey definitely didnāt taste like it had been carved off a whole turkey, it was quite salty and I think I was rolledā¦. Or maybe purchased sliced ā¦. It's been a few years since my last visit to The Fountain. Amazing food once again! I had three courses (goats cheese, veal and creme brulee) and all were excellent. I felt full, but not stuffed. Very enjoyable evening!
