Father's Day. The pub was really busy but the staff remained friendly and welcoming. A good standard Sunday roast with vegetables better than in many similar establishments. Generous portions at a fair price. The little gardens were useful for the toddler in the group. This will be our 'local' from now on.Vegetarian options: The nut roast was very niceKid-friendliness: Toddler enjoyed moving between the two gardens. The children's portion was a good size for the 12 year old.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The Victoria in Tilehurst is a proper English pub. Great venue, attention to detail decor, nice gardens (they have banana palms, quality). TV screens showing the football. Lively diverse crowd of locals - it gets noisey. Music from the juke box. Decent number of tables to sit at and drink or eat.
