Bear in mind that it's a pub without frills, it's the place to get a good wholesome meal at a reasonable price. I have been going for years and not ever disappointed. Well done to Mark the landlord and his staff.
Went to this pub after a lovely walk in the Chilterns. Conveniently located near Saunderton train station with a free car park outside. Large outdoor area with some play equipment but not used as we visited in winter. Staff very friendly and welcoming and definitely worth a visit for this alone! We had a drink and then some dinner. As usual we are always greeted by friendly Chatty staff, regardless of how busy they are. MEALS are still large portions with freshly cooked Vegetables, usually 3 types. No price increases here or Smaller portions and still such a large choice .
