Absolutely fantastic restaurant, we're so lucky to have such authentic high quality Italian food in little old Littleport. We come here as much as we can, it's so friendly ❤️ they really take care of us, when I had morning sickness the chef took special care to take out all my trigger ingredients and warned me when I was about to order something not pregnancy safe when I was still figuring things out. Complete sweethearts, can't recommend enough!

We have a pizza hut near us in kings lynn but yet we drive out of our way to this particular pizza hut because it's hands down the best. Stuffed crust thats actually stuffed with cheese, instead of air. A perfect size crust, not one that takes up half of the pizza and leaves no room for toppings. Not only that their prices and offers are far better, so we take the trip. Sorry we didn't get a picture due to stuffing our face.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was bursting with authentic Turkish flavors, every dish cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Le Spice in Ely is a fantastic local Indian restaurant with a warm, community feel. The waiters were polite, jovial, and made the evening feel welcoming and relaxed. The atmosphere was lovely, with a thoughtful touch in the beautifully folded napkins on the table.

The menu offers a great balance between familiar British Indian favourites like korma and jalfrezi, and more traditional Indian dishes that add real depth to the choices available.

We started with popadoms for the table. The plain ones were just as expected, but the spicy popadoms really stood out—light sesame notes and a gentle kick made them something special. These came with the classic popadom sauces, which paired nicely.

For my main, I had the lamb shank, which was absolutely divine. The lamb was tender and fell elegantly off the bone, served in a rich, spiced tomato sauce that complemented the meat beautifully.

The peshwari naan was also a highlight—plump, soft, and just the right amount of sweet.

Highly recommended if you’re after great food in a friendly, local setting.

The Dining Room at Poets House

We had an afternoon tea for two and sat in the lovely courtyard garden area in the sunshine, under the shade of a tree. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and made us feel right at home. The tea was lovely and although it didn't look like a lot, there was too much for us to finish, but no problem they provided a box to bring it home.
As an afternoon tea should be (in my opinion) everything was a sensible size, elegant and dare I say dainty. We have been to The Poets House for different meals since it opened and have always come away completely satisfied with the meal, the service and the price paid. I am more than happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful meal in a great setting

A cracking fish n' chip shop! Great tasting food, portion sizes are large, and prices are spot on. The car park opposite is free, so there's no reason to not come and find this place. Conveniently just down the road from my Air BnB. A great pub with a good selection of well tended real ales. Deceptively large, almost tardis like so. There was a music session going on in one of the front rooms when I arrived, which was pretty packed.
Headed out to the fairsized beer garden at the side.
Locals were chatty and friendly. Headed off into town, but made sure I had time for a return visit on the way back

Staff are friendly. Service can be slow at peak times as very busy and they now have their amazing walled garden open at the rear. One our favourite plaves to eat & chill when we visit Ely.

Sunday roasts have been amazing during numerous visits, having a carvery is fantastic and rare to find in the area. To summarise I’d recommend everyone visits this venue wether it be for food or beer, fantastic!

The Prince Albert

After a long (and warm) afternoon exploring Ely and Ely Cathedral, an Old Brown Mouse ale and a crisp cold cider at the Prince Albert truly hit the bullseye! Although we showed up a bit early, we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff, and in no time, we had drinks in hand and food on the way! Everything was absolutely delicious from the bangers and mash to the toffee pudding. Wish we didn’t have to catch the train back to Cambridge because we definitely would have stayed for another round of drinks. We look forward to next time!

We've been to Ely once before and we decided to have a family lunch at the Ely Leisure Village; we hadn't decided on a place yet and when when looking around, one restaurant was noticeably more busier than the others so we wanted to know what made this restaurant so popular. The restaurant was full and we were told to give it about 5 minutes, and I'm glad we did. \n\nHaving not been to an Arbuckles before, our smiling and friendly waitress Kiya mentioned that the Pickin Platter is a favourite so I ordered that and my wife ordered the Ribs. The BBQ Sauce that came with it was also good and the both of us were happy with our choices. The house IPA also went down well. We don't live near Ely but we've already promised to take some family members from South Africa for a meal when they visit in December, looking forward to it!.

I was at the Red Lion on Friday August 15th. I could have chosen from numerous restaurants in the Ely area. I have never had a bad meal here and have been lots of times. The menu always reflects the seasons and changes frequently. I had halibut in a saffron sauce, it was delicious. It was served with a selection of perfectly cooked vegetables. For dessert l had meringue with summer berries and cream, heavenly. I will continue to return.

What a lovely little tea room! Each customer given personal attention by the manageress and served with a smile by the waitresses. Whilst not spacious downstairs each table is positioned to allow some privacy and there are more tables in an upstairs room. The food was very good and the choice between typical greasy spoon and homemade quiches and cakes was difficult. They cater for vegetarians/ vegans and gluten free too. Overall an excellent stop for breakfast brunch and afternoon teas. Thank you very much ladies!

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime in October. The restaurant was busy but there was no feeling of any rush. The staff were fabulous, warm and professional. The decor was tasteful yet modern and added to the general ambience. Despite the room being busy the noise level was ideal for conversation. We all had a different type of Flammenkuche and could quite easily have shared them. They were delicious and so obviously freshly prepared and cooked. We finished with a sticky toffee pudding, this time to share, and it is really clear that the pastry chef knows what they are doing.
This is brilliant restaurant with food and customer experience at its heart.
We will be back, without a doubt.

We love this resturant - never a disappointment the food is not run of the mill variety of good British fare - like main of Ox tail - pigeon - sea trout - and their take on Chicken supreme - if you like your mains there is the offer of seconds included in the price
