Went to see the band The Stumble and they were excellent. All though this is a live music venue it is late drinking bar. Don’t expect an early finish. Start times are approx and all though venue stated 9pm it actually started 9.30pm. The stage is about 6m x 4m and is level with a similar size dance floor. There are two tables on the dance floor side. Beyond the dance floor there are two steps up and the bar area. There are about 4-6 tables in the bar area. It was not full but...read full review

A nice place and it sees me regularly.. friendly staff and not overly expensive...if I am to be honest its poorly designed in the fact that the venue is a terrible shape and small, and the WC is upstairs and...leaning on the side of Bijou this of course is the fault of the building and not the good people that work there ,who to a man are extremely considerate and professional.

Had a weekend away in Chester & booked a night at Alexander’s Live as it was comedy night. Wow, absolutely fantastic night. There were 3 different stand ups & all were amazing. I’d recommend this place for a really good evening out.
