Visited here for a cream tea. It was half an hour before closing time. The staff seemed the most miserable people I've ever come across; three girls who couldn't be grumpier. They clearly couldn't wait to get away. 10 minutes before closing the 'Henry' hoover came out and a bucket and mop placed right in front of us. Came into today after a walk along the beach with my partner, just a short walk away from summerleaze beach. Warm and welcoming welcome from staff and a great atmosphere. Dogs welcome which we found really good especially with the weather turning we didn’t have to sit outside because we had our dog. My husband had the ham and cheese toastie which was very tasty, with a generous filling. And I tried there new soup they had available. Love going to the Lock Gates Cafe, best espresso in town and the best Sausage Roll just as good as the National Trust Cafe's, service fantastic and a great atmosphere inside and out, dog friendly as well.
