Came into Costa for a drink while on a trip to Ambleside with my partner. Can honestly say very disappointed. Not with the coffee.... but the staff! There was a "store manager" ... cone back to that shortly and a lovely waitress. She was smiley, pleasant, curious, polite and hard working. The "store manager" however and no pun intended had a face that could turn milk! No courtesy, no politeness just no people skills. Unfortunately I can only give Costa Ambleside 2 stars today. We frequent Costa shops all over the North West but were very disappointed with the wait for service, the toilet had no toilet paper, and we weren't allowed to bring our small dog in.Almost everywhere in the lakes, dogs are allowed. Also every other Costa we have been in there is a section for patrons, with dogs.A big shame, because my Vanilla Latte was gorgeous.

Don’t normally go into Costa in Ambleside, but I really enjoyed my visit today. Sat in the window seats which are bright and spacious.The manager was enthusiastic, happy, polite and very welcoming. In fact the manager made my visit as pleasant as any of the many quality tea rooms in the town.Lovely cup of coffee as nice as any Costa coffee I’ve had before.
