When your granddaughters say “ Grandad, can we go to that place opposite the Church, we like the food”… you know you’re on to a good place. “No trip to Grasmere is complete without a pop into the Tea Gardens. We just had cups of tea, but really nice little place and the outdoor garden/ terrace bit was sublime. Unless you have a fear of birds. Those Jackdaws are voracious. They will not take no for an answer.

A tea garden located in one of the busiest parts of the village with an outside terrace by the river overlooking the Oswald Church. That's why they seemed to always be very busy and full. It would be a perfect place to take a break or quick bite to eat if they could improve their food.
