What a great surprise find! We parked in Dufton for High Cup Nick and noticed the pub. When we returned we had a quick pint and, given how friendly folk were and how wonderful the menu looked we booked the last available table that evening. I can’t understand people saying the locals were unfriendly. Called in after a late afternoon walk with a couple of children to find the Pub unexpectedly busy. The young staff got us some drinks and managed to squeeze us into the dining room.The food from the menu was very good and given the current climate fairly priced. The staff accommodated minor changes without faff and service from Katy? was great.We look forwards to visiting again the next time we are around.
