Tom and his staff couldnt do enough to make our 2ngt stay perfect, thankyouRooms: Room 6 is a small dbl, with a rail to hang clothes, very clean with a nice bathroomFood & drinks: Breakfast was very nice i had a full English my wife had the Veggy version which she said was very good
This was a stay that exceeded my expectations. We had a one night stopover to break up a long drive and booked fairly last minute. The pub is in a beautiful little village, situated well on a quiet road with a garden to the back and a pretty road to the front. We were welcomed on arrival and given the key to our room upstairs. Wonderful, sincere, warm reception (especially for the dog). Perfect location for Carlisle, Penrith, the Lakes, historical site seeing, walking and relaxing. Great friendly bar on the Friday night, Fabulous food. Refurbished with character to a really high standard. Tom and his family were quite rightly proud of their inn, and happy to go the extra mile to ensure you have a memorable stay. We’ll be back.
