The Plough

The standard of the accommodation and food at the Plough is exceptional. Rooms are of a very high standard. Ours was very large with a huge bathroom with roll top bath and walk in shower and extra large bed.. The food in the restaurant was amazing, and the Cote de Boeuf was was delicious. All the taff were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a bar area with a log burning stove which is very cosy. The large dining room also has a wood burner, although we ate in the bar area. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of hot items as well as fruit, cereals, yoghurt and juices. The hotel is only a short distance from junction 36 of the M6, and is only about a 30 minute drive from Windemere and the other lakes. Will definitely stay again.
