Had three day stay. Very comfortable room in room across square. Good breakfast, good evening meal with hand pulled local IPA. Did some good local walks including Cumbria Coastal Path and used train from nearby Carl to walk around Arnside and Silverdale headland. Would recommend, Phil
This is a lovely place with a great ambience, very relaxed atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly, and food came out quickly but not in a way that made us feel rushed. The food was a cut above - we had the octopus and chicken to start and both were tasty, and the treacle steak and pie for mains - both of us admitted we'd struggle to order anything else when we go again, though everything else looked delicious too. Really lovely pub in the square with relaxing music and great decor. Quite pricey but seems worth it! Vegan sticky toffee pudding was amazing and service was spot on.More vegan / veggie options would be appreciated.
