Stayed for one night for a whistle-stop visit to the Lakes, followed by football at Fleetwood. The hotel is ideally suited for both, as well as the Yorkshire Dales and Kirby Lonsdale is a very pretty village. Parking isn’t great in the town, with only 1 hour permitted between 8am and 6:30pm. We arrived at just after 6:30 pm and managed to find the last space around the corner with both car parks nearby full. Following a wander through Kirkby Lonsdale, choose the Red Lion for family gathering of 8.\\nChoose various dishes from menu, including 2 children's meals. Each and every meal was freshly cooked and gorgeous. Good sized portions, with most ingredients locally sourced and well presented.The actual interior of this pub is also absolutely stunning, spotless and decorated tastefully. A most enjoyable unplanned lunch!!
