Visited here at the end of December with my partner. We had food on one night and then just drinks the following night, and enjoyed both experiences. Loved the lite bites options they are perfect portions. Friendly staff, casual atmosphere, we loved it and will definitely return next time we visit Penrith,
This place has always been one of the best pubs in Penrith, glad to see its still is today. I had a ploughman's lunch to die for, never let anyone tell you it's just a salad !! Incidentally it's around 30 years ago I fell in the fire on a Christmas Eve !! ?

Little gem of place amazing food and hot, lots of choice and very hot when served beautifully cooked and jack rabbit wine what else can I say we loved it, too many places like this have closed near to where we live in Yorkshire , defo recommend ribs, hunters chicken, steak pie and steak yum yum
