My friend and I went for Sunday lunch, and the usual chef was away.We ordered the beef roast.As much as the meal went, the beef was lovely, plentiful. The roast potatoes were the size of the top of my thumb, and 5 of them ! Vegetables were delicious, sprouting broccoli and carrots.The Yorkshire pudding was OK. But, no mash, no boiled. First time visit for many many years. The food, when it finally arrived, was good. The delay of over an hour between ordering the food and it arriving at our table, despite there only being 1 other table occupied in the restaurant, made this a very disappointing evening.

High quality Sunday lunch with a lot more options than expected from the online menu. We had a small dog with us, so had to eat in the bar area but that was fine. Mushroom tagliatelle, blue cheese gnocchi, chicken and chorizo pie and cheeseburger were all excellent quality. Waitress was really helpful and thoughtful and did her best to make sure everything was as good as possible.
