Sunday dinner for 6, the venue was quiet and the staff were friendly. The food was good with the choice of turkey, beef or gammon at the carvery. Dessert was lovely and I enjoyed my cheesecake.
Fish & chips were absolutely spot on, really nice batter and well cooked. Mountain of wings with buffalo sauce that was very tasty. Always pop in here when we visit the lakes for a pint, first time we've had food. Will definitely be

Went on a recent break and I must say it was a rather pleasant surprise . It is very nicely placed with a superb view of the lake . The food was good ( obviously pub food) The fish and chips were good and the drinks are reasonable in price . Decor is old fashioned but comfortable. Only drawback the loos upstairs are rather cold but I don’t think anything can be done about that in the winter due to their location .
