“Enjoyed a great family meal here on a Friday evening. The pub was busy but the service was pretty good (if a little rushed) and the food was really excellent - particularly the homemade pie! The portions were huge (could easily share). Would definitely go back again.”

“oh my gosh, my friend and I have been for lunch today and agreed this was the nicest meal we had had in years and years! we both had Ossobuco, the meat melted in my mouth, the sauce was divine.. with creamy mash and crispy cabbage.. huge portions.. finished with the most delicious home made sticky toffee pudding to die for.. with fabulous lagers and the fire on. Perfect day off. The chefs here are OUTSTANDING thank you xx”

“Really nice traditional pub. Enjoyed a few pints of Birra Moretti in here. Really nice lively pint, clearly well maintained lines and pumps etc. Had a meal in here. Chips were a very good size portion, which I can't praise enough because portion sizes of sides in many pub grub places are becoming very disappointing. The church in however, had a big bowl of really nice homemade chips that tasted fantastic. My Mrs had proper food which she enjoyed but I'm all about the chips. Service was fantastic. Only seemed to be two teenage girls working in there but both were a credit to the place and seemed more experienced and hard working and better at their jobs than most of the barstaff I have ever experienced. Food and drinks were delivered quickly and even though it got quite busy whilst I was there the place ran smoothly and everything was ship shape.

In summary, really well run pub with great pints, great food and great staff.”

“Finally got inside, having walked past numerous times, just shopping. I took a friend for coffee and to check out the menu for another day... really tempting. The drinks were good and reasonably priced, the service just right and what a lovely place. ? We hope to return for a shared lunch, with different deals on certain days ?”

My husband and I both chose different menu options and can honestly say it was some of the best pub food we have experienced. Portions were large, hot and filling.
