Amazing pub came on a recommendation so glad we did. We ordered a cheese board, large pork pie along with a scotch egg and black pudding. It came with picked onions, chutney and caramelised onion a selection of cheese biscuits and butter. The three of us enjoyed every mouthful we even got a doggy bag for our leftovers!! The staff are friendly and attentive will definitely be returning thank you.
One of my faves. Lovely selection of food and a nice cosy pub vibe. On this visit I had the hommity pie which was delicious - fresh out the oven and serve with fresh salad and coleslaw.

A great hearty menu of pies and stews. If you've been for a long hike it's the kind of pub food that will fill you and re-energise the soul.We ate there on Saturday night at 7.30pm and one table left for the 4 of us.We had Hungarian goulash, ramblers stew, Brunswick stew and steak pie and all of us enjoyed the flavours and portion size.A friendly atmosphere and efficient service.
