Spreyton, CreditonA warm Cornish welcome awaited us as we entered this fine pub in the heart of Devon. A sunny drive from the south of the county was rewarded with a good choice of food, beers and ciders and all sensibly priced. We certainly couldn't fault any part of our visit and will certainly return. A little off the beaten track but definately worth seeking out, a pub steeped in history in an attractive village.

The Old Malt Scoop Inn
Lapford Bridge, Lapford, CreditonEaten in this lovely pub a few times over the last months. Vegetarian/Vegan option is always tasty, well prepared and often imaginative. Fellow meat eating diners say similar about their meals. A friendly, welcoming atmosphere with well kept beer selection makes it good for just a drink too.

The foods amazing, the drinks delicious and everything is reasonably priced. Very child friendly.

The Duck at Yeoford
The Village, Yeoford, CreditonI have been to this place on two occasions, first for Sunday lunch and second for a meal with family.
Both times the food has far exceeded my expectations, it is the perfect mix between hearty pub food and quality fine food. I have ordered the beef roast and steak with chips. Both times, the meat has been tender and juicy (ordered rare) with delicious sides.
The atmosphere again nicely balanced the rural pub feeling with the slightly more modern side.
The best part of attending this place was easily the staff. I felt closely attended to and genuinely cared for. My grandmother, afflicted with Alzheimer’s, was getting quite stressed about taking her leftovers home. The staff were friendly and reassuring and helped me calm everyone down. Many thanks.
Certainly worth a visit.

The Three Little Pigs
1 Parliament St, CreditonVisited Saturday Lunchtime for food with family.
Pub was quiet but it is January so to be expected.
Great choice of beers, staff were really nice and friendly and the food was good. My only comment was that the steak could have been warmer. I didn’t say anything at the time, so can’t complain now.
I would still recommend this pub it’s a great place to visit.

Shobrooke, CreditonHad a Sunday lunch with our group of 17 people here today. Good mix of food offered from standard Sunday lunch ,pork or beef, fish and chips, belly of pork, mushroom and brie Wellington, and tuscan chicken. All served quite quickly, given the number of us there. All the meals were very good. Deserts are also good, apple crumble, profiteroles ,fruit pudding with either custard or ice cream or choice of ice cream flavours.

Thelbridge Hill, CreditonThis is an amazing place to stay for a few days. The landlady is a total delight. So kind, no words to describe it. The Sunday Roast is a plate we will not forget so easily. The Thelbridge Cross Inn is an iconic landmark in this gorgeous area.Rooms: The rooms have all what you need. The bed is good.Food & drinks: The menu has it all. The Sunday Roast is perfect.

31 East St, CreditonHappened to be passing through Crediton and so pleased there was availability at this restaurant Food was delicious. Well priced food and drink. Warm welcome Perfect evening Only open Friday and Saturday evenings. You are able to bring your own wine for £1 corkage. We didn’t but the wine list had all the familiar favourites on it. Rioja, Merlot , Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Chateauneuf du Pape. Just missing a Malbec but I was happy with gin ? Pictures are of the duck rolls, pear and blue cheese salad, lamb - melt in your mouth , crème brûlée and apple crumble. Couldn’t recommend enough ! So enjoyable

25 High St, CreditonWent in today for lunch with my partner. Service was good and I browsed the local produce for sale as we waited for our lunch. A great selection of cheese and local produce from biscuits and chilli sauces to cakes and jams.I ordered a BLT which came with crisps and coleslaw and a lovely salad on the side. The bacon was delicious and the portion size was very filling. My partner had a jacket potato which she said she thoroughly enjoyed. The man serving was very helpful when I wanted to try one of the cheeses. I ended up buying local cheese and snacks for later. Would highly recommend anyone to try. Will be going again for sure. Well done.

88 High St, CreditonIf you're looking for good quality Chinese takeaway, then you can't go wrong with The Golden Bridge House in Crediton.
I may only go for special occasions but ive been using them for years and have never had a bad meal from them. Its always hot, tasty, generous and it's affordable.
The staff are very polite and making a telephone order is very, very easy. The food is cooked to order and doesn't take long.
The only downside is their online presence. With no website, Facebook or online ordering; its grab a paper menu in shop and either phone in or stop by and make a order.

The Trawler's Catch
40a High St, CreditonHad 3 piece chicken and chips, saveloy and curry sauce, and OMG basically half a chicken, large amount of chips for £6.99.
Not only incredible value but the best damn southern fried chicken I've ever had abd the chips were absolutely scrumptious, cooked fresh.
Saveloy cooked perfectly and the curry sauce had just that right amount of spice.
Fantastic food served by friendly, welcoming staff.
Will definitely be returning for more.

Newton St Cyres, ExeterService was great, and the outside area was really nice, it could be improved with a bit more protection from the road as its a bit intrusive when a 50 ton truck brushes past only a few meters away.
The food was nice but the garlic bread was very overdone and was like eating a £9 walkers crisp..
Overall the sides seemed quite expensive but the service was good and the indoor ambiance was nice

28a Mill St, CreditonIt's nice little boozer with some local cask Ales. Ales are good but could be better. Landlord is very polite and accommodating. Very impressive whisky selection too. Had 16 year old Fettercairn 2022 and it was great.

The kids food comes on plastic plates aswell which is certainly nice, and its nice and clean.
Certainly an excellent place to get some good food while not being overbearing with noise and people

They served the food quickly, with efficient and friendly staff. The restaurant has a nice Chinese-Asian atmosphere. I highly recommend this place if you want to try the authentic taste of Chinese food.

32 High St, CreditonHave ordered before and has always been ok. Tonight I was very impressed. My daughter tried the chicken burger and it was larger than expected and she said it was very good ( she is super fussy). I had the doner wrap, which was very moist and very well made ( I asked for certain things not to be put in and they got it spot on). Chips were great as always and delivery was much quicker than I expected.
