The White Thorn Inn

Had a lovely lunch here today. Nice big carpark. Kids play area and beer garden.

Nice welcome as we arrived, fire burning , very cozy.

Had 3 bean chilli on chips and a creamy chicken and bacon pasta dish, both really tasty.

Bathrooms were spotless.

Will visit again.

The Larder Yelverton

Very busy. Full of cyclists so couldn't stop in there to get food. Got a breakfast sandwich. It did the job.

All the produce, looked wonderful thought.

Drake Manor Inn

Fantastic pub. Went as a group of four and there was an excellent choice of food on the menu and the specials board.
The service was superb and the staff were friendly. The food was extremely tasty a d filling. A good choice of drinks. Will return when I'm next in the area.

The London Inn

Lovely staff, amazing food and good portion sizes. Yep I ‘get it’ when reading one of the views below complaining about foul language coming from one of the guys at the bar, but at the end of the day it’s a pub, and the staff have to balance not upsetting their regulars but at the same time not driving other customers away because of it. Also there are tables below in the ‘restaurant bit’ away from the main bar. Unfortunately swearing is part of some people’s normal conversation, but I just close off to it and enjoy the lovely food!

The Skylark Inn

Absolutely loved the meal even though we didn't book in advance. The manager/barman even made room for us in the restaurant area . Friendly service by all and priced accordingly would definitely go back ,would definitely tell others to try ???? Thank you Skylark we will be back.

The Old Police Station

I've enjoyed lunch here the last two weeks, nice staff and service. I'm a lover of egg and chips, and think this is now my favourite place for lunch. It is also a fish and chip takeaway shop as well as cafe. Maybe that is why the chips are so nice, lovely tasty eggs too. Thankyou.

The Leaping Salmon

Lovely little pub/hotel in a beautiful location. We stayed here for two nights in a room with three people. We immediately felt at home when we walked in, and we decided to stay for dinner instead of going out, which we had planned initially. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming and the food was great!
The room was clean and very spacious. The breakfast was amazing, some of the best scrambled eggs we all had ever had.
I ended up forgetting some of my toiletries, but the staff very kindly sent it over to me, free of charge!
All in all a great stay, and I will definitely return!

The Walkhampton Inn

Such wonderful food, great selection of drinks (albeit having a GF ale on the go would be wonderful!!) and the events at the Inn are absolutely a must go! The staff are awesome as well!

Warren House Inn

This inn is said to be one of the most isolated places in Devon, yet it is definitely worth a visit. Nestled within the Dartmoor National Park, Warren House Inn is opened to the public for food and drinks. You'd be surprised its rich history - a hearth that has been burning since 1845! Around the corner are Dartmoor ponies and Highland cows (coos), and great hiking spots to the local tin mine. The food is good - but the burger could be a bit more gamey in taste (I like it but it doesn't mean you would). Service is great, and the ambiance is better than you'd expect - especially after braving the cold wind and rain when hiking outside. Highly recommend checking it out - I certainly would return.

Royal Oak Inn, Meavy

Lovely food great atmosphere. A friend recommended and recommended to a friend who also loved the food .
Visited again today we both had pie and mash . But we decided to share a scotch egg starter. OMG !!! ( please don’t like them leave them for the rest of us) They are the best EVER…

Dartmoor Brewery

We discovered the brewery by chance on our Dartmoor bike tour and stopped straight away. Bought the Legend and the Free with glasses. Very tasty beers and very nice souvenirs.

The Rock Inn

We popped in here over lunchtime for a lovely meal. It was mid week and quite busy. The menu was clear and there was lots of choice. Staff were super friendly. The steak and ale pie was huge! Loads of chips, peas and gravy too. The veggie burger was also good. The toilets were clean, with plenty of good quality soap. There were also a few parking spaces outside despite being busy. Parking tip - if you are coming from the Plymouth or Tavistock direction, don't be tempted to come off the roundabout at the car park by the shops as there is often a queue and parking fees. Head towards Princetown and take the first exit on the right after the roundabout. this takes you to the pub car park.

The Forest Inn

Brilliant pub in the middle of Dartmoor.

Very friendly manager who greeted us on arrival.

Superb food and a pleasant/Quiet and friendly atmosphere. Dog friendly too.

We stayed in a nearby hotel but the food there wasn't to our liking (bit too posh). We were SO glad we found this lovely place and ate here. The food was homely, delicious and generously portioned.

Plenty of board games etc to play also which we enjoyed.

The Famous Chippie

So I only had chips, don't want to ruin my dinner, but these are some top tier chips. It was quiet in there, but it's a Tuesday and near the end of lunch time. Offered wrapped or in box, which I had as eating them there and then.
Very friendly and polite, chips 10 out of 10, it's on my way home and will stop again for sure. I will have to try some other items on the board.

Amazing food, we were unsure of what to go for, we were asked what sort of curry we usually go for and we tried something new, and it was delicious. Great service, definitely worth the trip from Plymouth!!

These people who work here are amazing They have made my birthday the best ever with a card that all have signed The staff are amazing the food is amazing and the facilities as we are in a motorhome are always clean and immaculate Wouldn’t go anywhere else Thankyou rachel, Lee, Maria , leslie and the rest of your amazing staff you guys are amazing and make our stay amazing we love you guys x x

Scarlet’s Kitchen

Been here twice now for breakfast and I can happily say that this place is one of the best places I've ever had a fry up, delicious iced coffee and fresh local produce used. The staff are also very friendly and are always there ready to take your order. Can't wait for the next fry up!

Jasmine Restaurant

Wow we've just had the BEST meal at this amazing restaurant in Yelverton. The food was delicious, the staff were very pleasant and kind and our 2 courses and drinks were seriously good value for money. They do takeaway as well but really the restaurant experience was truly 5 star. Thanks to all at the Jasmine!
