Excellent lunch today. Giving credit where it’s due as I’m so difficult to please and this is second visit in short space of time. The staff were lovely and can’t do enough to please. Looking forward to a Sunday lunch.

Popped in and received a very warm welcome from Pam who worked at the now closed Seven Stars. As devastated as I am that the seven stars had closed it was lovely to see the attentiveness and top class menu in its sister pub. Lots to choose from on this menu and the food did not disappoint with generous portions. Lovely friendly and hard working staff with a good team working vibe.

This is a lovely, small, and dog friendly pub in a beautiful part of Durham next to the river. The menu is fairly typical of most pubs and is well cooked and well presented. The fact that it also has a menu for dogs makes it stand out from the rest. However, we didn't find out about that until we were about to leave, which was a shame.
