Pemberton Rd, Allensford, ConsettHad a lovely afternoon tea for a baby shower this afternoon in the beautifully decorated and cosy Snug. The food looked and tasted absolutely delicious. The service was superb and the table was covered with pretty baby girl tablecovers which was a thoughtful and unexpected touch.

22 Front St, Castleside, ConsettVery old style English pub, a relic really. Cash only but reasonable prices, good views of the dales out back. Service was slow but I can't fault them as they are ancient.
