We enjoyed a family birthday meal 8 of us 17 March in the Bay Horse The food was exceptional , with a very good choice of menu.
A gem of a place , we will return !

Wicstun Tea Room

A proper Cafe (rare enough these days), great food, gluten free/dietary options, friendly atmosphere and clean. If you are in Market Weighton then I can definitely recommend this splendid local establishment. Run professionally, service with a smile and great value. We are never disappointed. Fantastic tea cakes.

Vegetarian options: I'm not a vegetarian, but the veggie breakfast is lovely.

As are the standard meals, great beef curry and homemade pies, fantastic tea cakes and tasty home made casseroles which are perfect for this time of year

Gelato Lounge

Nice little bar downstairs, well worth popping in for a few drinks and the design your own pizzas are really nice, had a few different combinations and all of them were fantastic, upstairs has a nice booth seating area and another smaller bar

Bengal Brasserie

Always busy when we are there yet staff always make time for us. Extremely welcoming and always a good laugh. Food has plenty of flavour and is the best Indian in the area

Café On the Wolds

Called in for a drink on our way to York from Scarborough. Very nice cafe in the middle of Market Weighton. Lovely staff and very good coffee. Pretty little courtyard to sit out in the sunshine.

Seven Spices

Stand-out restaurant. Delicious food, clearly great chef, friendly service, reasonable prices. If you’re visiting or are lucky enough to live in the area, this is a great choice for curry.

Golden Star Market Weighton

Very mixed reviews on here so I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised!

Photos are half portions as I was too hungry and didn’t take photos before! Would definitely order again! We got the crispy chicken and king prawn with broccoli, and chicken satay skewers. It was enough for dinner and a light lunch the following day. Even came with free prawn crackers

Proper Good Food!

Happy Dragon

Have now tried all 3 Chinese take aways in MW, the other two being Golden Star and Mr Chu's. Based on having the same meal from all 3 Happy Dragon is the best of them. The best Chinese I've ever had is Paddy Fields in Haxby, whilst Happy Dragon is the best in MW it's still not as good as Paddy Fields, which sets the bar for me.

Cooplands

Good food, Friendly staff and short queue times, my son (toddler) likes to order his food, the staff show great patience when they interact with him, its great to see them treat him as a customer.

Pizza Planet

Just had a special kebab it serve 3 of us and there still some left it was amazing best kebab we have had in a long time. Fast friendly delivery to would highly recommend

The Italian Job

Can't complain really, used for years and never had a bad pizza or kebab and equally use other local takeaways too. Pretty quick on delivery unless really busy, but on a fair few times it has said 50 mins on delivery and its been 20 mins max. Foods always been piping hot, delivery drivers have always been pleasant too. Never had an issue, those who complain may have been unlucky or just professional complainers.

Domino's Pizza - Market Weighton

Spot on, speedy delivery and always still piping hot. Rang me to say some of the veggie toppings had ran out and the alternative was so nice I think I preferred it to the original. Thank you! ?
