13 Railway St, Pocklington, YorkNow, I’ve eaten in many good Indian restaurants throughout the United kingdom and Europe. With my professional opinion as a 2 Michelin trained chef, this is most likely in the top 5 best from my personal experiences. Easily the best Indian food in the whole of Yorkshire, maybe even the country.
The layout of the restaurant is truly beautiful, and the service was warm, friendly and professional. We both left with a huge smile on our faces, and I’m 100% sure you will too.
I highly recommend everyone to make the effort to travel and try this restaurant. It’s definitely more than worth it!

1 Pavement, Pocklington, YorkHad a wonderful evening meal here. 4 adults and 1 dog. They even catered for our dog. Food was delicious. Service impeccable. Staff extremely friendly. Sharon was amazing. Will certainly visit again.

Quick and friendly service. Tasty food and cakes. Clean toilets upstairs. Parking can be sometimes hard un Pocklington, but otherwise a great find.

The Balk, Pocklington, York, East Riding of YorkshireWhat a great place to stay! Conveniently located and a smashing base to visit surrounding areas such as, York, and Harrogate, without the hassle of city centre parking charges and late night noise.
Chalet style accommodation, with parking outside each room. Spotlessly clean and comfortable and very affordable if you book direct with the motel.
The staff are professional, yet friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble.
The restaurant area, provides delicious home cooked food, decent portion sizes and caters for vegetarians, without making a ' fuss' about it!
There's a separate bar area and tables outside too for when the weather permits.
I've stayed here on half a dozen occasions and always had a peaceful nights sleep and a positive experience all round, so therefore i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this smashing place.

The Ramblers' Rest
The Ramblers Rest, Main St, Millington, YorkWe had an overnight stay at the bed and breakfast a couple of weeks ago . Followed by a cooked breakfast which was preordered in advance. The room was outstandingly clean, spacious and lots of room. The bathroom was spotless. The breakfast again was outstanding. Both the ladies we dealt with there were really friendly, welcoming and understanding on what was a difficult time for us suddenly losing our dog the previous week. I would definitely recommend and we will certainly be returning very soon. Thankyou again

Hard to choose as it all looked so nice. the staff were very friendly. And the small shop has a good variety of things. Also the place is wheelchair friendly and good parking.

Allerthorpe Lakeland Park
Melbourne Road, Pocklington, Yorkwe love this place. the staff are so friendly. the lakes are beautiful. first time my children did watersports yesterday and they had a fantastic time, my son fell off the paddle board and a member of staff was on hand to assist him back on.

The Glasshouse Restaurant
Kilnwick Percy, Pocklington, ResortHaving dined here twice this week during a 4 night stay at KP Lodges, we had excellent service and great food which was beautifully presented. The food and beverages were also excellent value. The resort was quiet so atmosphere was somewhat affected, though the warm welcome, attentive and professional service we recieved from the staff made up for the lack of patrons.
We will certainly be visiting KP lodges again and look forward to dining at the Glasshouse.

Kilnwick Percy Resort & Golf Club
Pocklington, Kilnwick Percy, YorkMyself and Alexandra got married at the KP Resort on the 19th of July 2025 and it honestly couldn’t have been a better day. We had a fantastic experience from start to finish and it’s one we’ll always remember. Everything ran smoothly, the setting was beautiful, and the staff made us feel really well looked after throughout the whole day. A big thank you to Chris the manager who was incredibly helpful and really straight to the point, which we appreciated. It made things so much easier knowing we were dealing with someone who was honest and clear, especially when planning something as important as our wedding. We genuinely felt like we got brilliant value for money choosing to have our wedding here. The food for our wedding breakfast was absolutely delicious and so many of our guests commented on how good it was. It looked great, tasted even better, and didn’t come with a ridiculous price tag either. Even the bar prices were really reasonable, which is rare at a wedding venue these days. It was just really refreshing to see. What made the evening even more special was having Sam as our barman. He was fantastic. So many people mentioned how great he was. He was funny, friendly and really brought a good vibe to the night. You could tell he genuinely enjoyed being there and that made such a difference. He was polite with everyone and just had a brilliant energy about him that helped make the night what it was. If I had to point out something we didn’t love, it would be the accommodation. Quite a few of our guests stayed in the Huxtable Suite, and other rooms which cost between £150- £280 per night. At that price, we expected something a bit more modern and comfortable. The room felt a little outdated and it got really hot, especially with the warm weather. There was no air con and you couldn’t open any windows to cool it down. The only option was the back door, but that’s not ideal if you’ve got kids. For the price, it definitely needed some improvements. Or a decent fan at least. That said, the day itself was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere, the staff, the food, the views, it all came together and gave us a wedding day & night we’ll never forget. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the KP Resort to anyone thinking of getting married. It was everything we hoped for and more.

21 Railway St, Pocklington, YorkWas stopping about 5 miles away in a lodge phoned up pretty late on,lovely polite woman answered the phone said they would be able to deliver.Food arrived just about in 45 minutes which I thought was pretty good considering distance etc all piping hot and delicious especially the turk calzone spot on

Regardless of this, however, lattes are my cheeky treat and will always give in.

Broadhelm Close, Pocklington, YorkCalled in after work last week and the member of staff I was served by was really helpful and friendly, Presley was his name I think and the food was really quick in arriving and very tasty! The store was really nice and clean and i will definately be calling there again 10/10
