After visiting Lewes Castle we were a bit peckish so walked down the high street and found the John Harvey Tavern. It's sort of hidden away on a side street, but we're glad we found it. My husband had wanted to try some of the Harvey beers, so this was perfect for him. We ordered sandwiches - a pork sausage sandwich for him and a falafel and halloumi sandwich for me. Both were enormous and came with a generous serving of chips. Great value for money!

We had prebooked because it was just prior to Christmas and to secure a table downstairs. People were turned away who wanted to eat during our visit. We all had a ciabatta with fries and a drink. We had prawn, prawn & avocado and 2 x sausage. All very good, generous fillings and very tasty fries. Highly recommended when in the area. Located close to the actual brewery and the brewery shop - makes for a nice trip.
