A group of us came to the Shepherd Inn for a funeral wake and we were made to be very welcome. There's a good selection of local beers on tap, and the pub itself is a characterful building that's been standing for over 500 years - Scott was able to tell me some interesting stories about the history of the place as he pulled me a pint. Nice pub sat in the garden with dogs , land lord very obliging , made us cheeseburgers and fries even though no food was being served , good food reasonably priced will definitely be back

We would like to thank Scott & Sarah so very much for hosting our recent funeral wake at the Shepherd.The day was damp and dreary; but the pub was warm and welcoming ?There was plenty of tea & coffee available and the buffet was fresh and varied.We would highly recommend this venue ? but watch out for the bar?...you'll see?
