It's just a gracious pub with good beers and ale , lots of decorations to observe, spacious gardens . Occasionally good jazz musicians play there on Sundays afternoon, best to call to know which Sunday .
If you want a "proper" pub then you don't have to look a lot further. They don't take cards, so turn up with cash. However once your there, you are there for the night. Great beers at a great price. Landlady, staff and locals are the best. Go a couple of times and your pretty much a local.If you want a lunch break they have fresh homemade rolls for sale. And if you want dinner, order a delivery to enjoy in the pub while you get served cheap beer....perfect piece of proper England.
