The Green Man School Road, OngarChose this pub based on it's good reviews to meet friends halfway for lunch. So glad we did. We received a very friendly welcome, food was delicious and well priced. We weren't rushed so we could enjoy our catch up. A very smart pub, so pleased we have found a new place to meet at, look forward to going back.

Cucina Italiana
The St, High Ongar, OngarWe’ve been coming since the summer (2025) and what a find! We come around weekly because whenever we think about where to dine, we always want Cucina Italiana.
We get a lovely reception, the staff couldn’t do more for you; they even got in my favourite wine when I mentioned it.
The food is amazingly authentic, the sauces divine, I just love it here. And then to top it all, it’s the best priced Italian for miles. I’ve recommended it to everyone.
