Excellent choice of beers lovely beer garden. Few bits and pieces could do with a lick of paint and repair. Proper old style town pub with lots of character. Recent update and lick of paint looks great
For me personally, the Golden Lion in North Street Rochford Essex, is a brilliant pub.I've been frequenting this pub since 1968, seen many changes.Friendly and helpful publicans and customers.

We didnt eat in there so cant comment on the food but we had drinks in there at around 7pm on a saturday evening. What a perfect pub. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and welcoming people. The barman was fantastic, what a nice guy and great at his job. Its a proper traditional pub, just how I like them. If I was a local this would be MY local for sure. Would 100% visit again if Im ever in the area again.
