Sadly, have been to two funerals here in recent months. Have never heard of a funeral in a pub before but it proved just the right place to hold them for our two dear friends. The pub is quirky, full of rock and roll posters and unusual memorabilia - a friendly place with real character, unspoilt by corporate blandness. They kindly and generously hosted both the service and the wake, and provided drinks and sandwiches, including vegan and vegetarian ones that were clearly marked....read full review

We dropped in on the Saturday for a quick drink on the way back from town and saw the blackboard advertising the Curry Night on Wednesday. We booked for that and had a lovely meal with great real ale from the Uley Brewery
