I wanted to book somewhere to have Sunday lunch after running the Stroud half marathon. The first pub I phoned was all booked up but they suggested the Bowbridge and I am really pleased that they did. I had the nut roast which was delicious. My friends had roast beef, and they had very generous slices. It came with lots of different vegetables including cheesy leeks which were lovely. Went in for lunch (15/07/2022) and it was excellent, ham,egg & chips + sausage, mash, peas and gravy,great portions. Charlotte provided excellent bar service. Will definitely visit again...?

Great little pub just off the canal. Dropped in during our walk down the canal for a couple of drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly too, dogs were given water bowls when we came in.
