1 The St, Leighterton, TetburyLoved every minute, stayed the entire afternoon. A typical quintessentially English stone pub, with delicious food (I had their veg burger, crispy chips and a scrumptious choc dessert) We all felt similarly. A delightful young guy waited at table, courteous, helpful and chatty. A great languid afternoon.

The Priory Inn
London Rd, TetburyWe stayed at the Priory Inn for a weekend break, using it as a base to visit places of interest in south Gloucestershire. We were broadly happy with our experience. The decoration of the rooms looked a little tired, but that's really our only criticism. The beds were comfy, the breakfasts were excellent, and the bathroom actually had a bath (wonderful!). On our first evening we used the hotel dining room for dinner, and that too was excellent (I recommend the pork). Above all, I'd like to congratulate the lady front-of-house manager who was always friendly, helpful and on top of things. She gave the impression of someone who loved her job.

Cat & Custard Pot Inn
The St, Shipton Moyne, TetburyStayed here recently for 2 nights. Fantastic place with a very warm welcome. Room was lovely especially the roll top bath and food was superb with the steak pie the best I've ever had. Will definitely be back!

Tetbury Fish & Chips
6 Chipping St, TetburyBrilliant fish and chips and lovely friendly service as well which is always a bonus. Fish was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of batter, chips were spot on and curry sauce a great accompaniment. There’s even a couple of places to sit inside and if you choose this option you get a plate and proper cutlery. Plenty of chippys in the UK are a disappointment but not this one. Will definitely be back when we’re passing through Tetbury.

The Holford Arms
Knockdown, Sherston, TetburyI returned to the Holford for a quiet midweek dinner on my own.
As with my previous visits the welcome was warm and the place felt very comfy and familiar.
Ordered a pint of Uley ale and a main course of lemon and thyme roast chicken butternut squash risotto with chimi churi and parsnip crisps.
The ale was on point and the food was exactly what I hoped it would be.
The service was excellent and all in all I couldn't fault the experience.

Casa Restaurant Tetbury
49 Long St, TetburyWe walked in as a table of six without a booking and they were so lovely and was able to seat us. We got served quickly, our food arrived hot and quick! And we were checked on often and kept topped up with drinks. The food itself was spectacular, the best Italian we as a collective had had. 100% recommend it’s such a chill and cozy place, can’t wait to come back!

Lola & Co Tapas
20A Long St, TetburyI recently celebrated my birthday at Lola’s in Tetbury, and from start to finish it was nothing short of perfect. The atmosphere was warm and buzzing without ever feeling crowded, the wine list was spot-on, and the food was exceptional, every dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. A huge shout out to Alex, the manager, who handled everything from the initial booking to the final glass being poured. His attention to detail, friendly professionalism, and genuine care made the evening feel effortless and extra special. Nothing was too much trouble, and he ensured our table felt like the best in the house. After dinner, we carried the celebration on at Koko, which was the perfect after-party vibe great music, fun energy, and a lively but welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place in Tetbury for a special occasion, Lola’s (followed by Koko!) is an unbeatable combination, especially with someone like Alex at the helm.

The Close Restaurant
Long St, TetburyWe were in today for the Sunday roast. Both ordered lamb (at the waiter’s recommendation) and it was absolutely fabulous. Completely melt in mouth and a very generous portion. We did order extra gravy but were pleased to see they did not charge extra. Would 100% recommend and we will be back.

19 Church St, TetburyReally like this cafe. Always pop in as part of our Tetbury visit. Our favourite seat is by the window. Lovely food and staff. One thing though, we were asked for a service charge on our last visit by a young waitress. We never have been asked that before and felt a big put on the spot. Perhaps the service charge can be added to / mentioned on the menu?

Items always arrive in good condition and is also well packed, Delivery is also a reasonable price, would definitely recommend Halls the Bakers, they have a wide range of goodies to choose from at great prices.

Calcot & Spa, Calcot, TetburyThe 3 courses for £45 is great value, and the food itself was of a good standard - I was particularly pleased with the roast beef and accompaniments. However, the service let the experience down somewhat, with lengthy gaps between courses and a long wait both for our initial drinks order to be taken and for them to arrive.

The Royal Oak Tetbury
Cirencester Rd, TetburyWe stopped in for lunch which was absolutely delicious. While we were there we panicked as we realized we had a logistical problem with a local garden tour scheduled for later that day. Alex at the Royal Oak reception noticed our consternation and offered to help. She stepped in and contacted the tour company and completely sorted the problem before we even finished lunch! And we weren’t even staying at the Royal Oak. What a Good Samaritan and a lovely person, typical of the Royal Oak staff. We will be back!?
