150 Stanley Park Rd, CarshaltonStopped by Millennium Fish Bar in Carshalton and the fish and chips were spot on. The owner is incredibly passionate about food standards. We had a chat about how easy it is for shops to buy cheap, frozen, low-grade chicken and hide the quality under heavy batter and spices. He refuses to do that and invests in proper, premium ingredients instead. You can really taste the difference when a business cares about quality over quick profits. Will absolutely be back.

The Hope
48 West St, CarshaltonThis is an awarding winning local pub and deservedly so. Constantly changing very well kept real ales, craft beers and lagers. None of your usually available rubbish from massive brewing companies. The Pot meals are superb too! Just a wonderfully quirky boozer!

The Sun
4 North St, CarshaltonWe had a really lovely experience at The Sun today. The food was excellent, but what really stood out was the service. Lily, our waitress, was fantastic! She talked us through the different steak options and suggested wine pairings that worked perfectly with our choices. She was bubbly, friendly, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. It’s always nice when someone takes the time to explain the menu and help you get the most out of your meal. Thanks again to Lily for such great service — we’ll definitely be back!

Everyone there is lovely and welcoming and the food is tasty.
I wasn't a big fan of the seafood skewers...but that's because it wasn't to my taste, as the rest of our group actually loved. I prefer saucy dishes. The prawn pasta, seafood pasta, lasagne, Bolognese and pomodoro have all been a hit and the cocktail was the perfect amount of sweet and alcoholic. I have not tried desert yet, so one for next time.
But would definitely highly recommend.

The Greyhound (Hotel)
2 High St, CarshaltonWe have been staying at The Greyhound for many years whilst attending the Epsom Derby. The location is excellent and the rooms are very clean and comfortable.
Colum, Anne- Marie and all the staff are amazing and are always welcoming, attentive and always happy to help. They go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. A special thank you to Mia who lent me her hair straighteners after I had forgotten to pack mine on this occasion. So kind of her and I was very grateful.
We always look forward to returning to The Greyhound.

The food came quickly and everything was fresh and delicious. My seafood risotto did not disappoint: full of seafood, creamy and aldente.
And the portions were so big we had no space left for dinner that day! :)

I was trying to be good that night but the waiter had other ideas? great service, they were quick and very happy in our interactions. They have a long list of specialities so we tried one of the chicken dishes and one from the “old favourites” menu. I recommend trying the specialty dishes! It was so fresh.

A great seasonal-style treat and perfect for a cosy coffee break. Nice and cozy place. Staff were quite helpful and friendly.

Food was cooked there and then, was worth the short wait in the shop for perfect chips. Will definitely use again. Not often, you don't get given chips that have sat in oil for a while. Took home and enjoyed our meal.
