I want to leave a review about the fantastic afternoon I had with family for my 70 th birthday at the Axe and Cleaver. I cannot praise the food, staff and venue enough. Paul, who looked after us and his team were so helpful and pleasant, the food was really well presented and fresh, we were a party With a great age range and all we’re catered for very well . Had a lovely lunch with family, great atmosphere, good food and really friendly staff. This country pub is set in beautiful surroundings on the edge of Dunham Massey park. I can highly recommend for lunch, evening meal or even just a pint! Paul and Serena served us and made us feel very welcome.

This was a sad occasion of my father's wake but the staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a lovely warm fire and the food was just right.Vegetarian options: Good selection
