First time since reopening and always enjoyed it previously. Unfortunately this evening was disappointing. I ordered cheese and onion pie and my husband the beef shin. The food was very well presented and the beef shin had a nice taste although a little dry. The cheese and onion pie was overcooked and served with what seemed to be frozen chips. I finished with a latte which was so strong and bitter it was undrinkable. The staff were attentive and replenished drinks when empty....read full review

Decent sized food portions with nice taste. They had Timothy Taylor's Landlord also! However, whilst I love dogs, I think there were way too many there, with a couple being vocal, and that was probably due to socialisation issues being apparent.

A party of 6 of us went to the Shoulder last night for New Years Eve. The food and the service were excellent. This is the third time we’ve eaten here in the last month and it’s has been excellent each time.
