Cod and haddock cooked perfectly in a delicious crispy batter.
Mushy peas are nice and the chips are too.
Excellent gluten-free options.

I received excellent advice about the selection of food to order and the correct quantity for the number of guests. The food arrived on time, was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Stonehouse Pizza and Carvery

Hosted my son's birthday here last night and they were all so good and made it the best for him, particular mention to Lilly for her professionalism, helpfulness and morale that she brings with her.

We've lived long enough to have been disappointed too many times when having this so-called 'national dish', when you're served a mass of greasy, slimy stodge. Not here. They were great and to be recommended.

Pop in for a bit of brunch on a Saturday and even though it was lunch time there was plenty of space. The tables had adequate space around them, I hate it when they are crammed in. I obviously had to get a breakfast and when ordering the staff were super polite and accommodated a few changes to our breakfasts. Oh and a pretty good coffee was a little treat. The food was of a good standard and nothing let the breakfast down. Will pop back in and try something else from the menu.

14 Pier St, Lee-on-the-SolentBooked early 6 oclock table on this years freezing cold New Years Eve. Had table near the door which was constantly being open and closed by a procession of take aways. The owners need to decide whether thay are a Restaurant or a take away, because our evening was spoilt by a constant procession of people in and out, hanging around and cold draughts.There appeared to be little heat to compensate in the restaurant. Come on guys, sort it out !!!

159 High St, Lee-on-the-SolentIt pains me to say this. I always order the same meal. Have done for nearly 20 years. My wife also. After our usual takeout changed management and ruined our last meal. We found ourselves looking for a new goto. Evereything was close to perfect, the dhansak sauce was best ive tasted since my teens, but...and there is always a but....the chicken was DRY. As a bone. Chewy and unpleasant. Same with my wifes tikka massala. Utterly gutted. I assume reheated chicken? This was a sat night. So disappointed, is really was the tastiest dhansak ive had. Prawn puree was fairly bland but no worse or better than anywhere else. Onion bhaji was very good. Pilau rice light and fragrant. 7.5/10. No excuses for dried out chicken. The search for a new regular continues.

Common Barn Ln, Lee-on-the-SolentWen’t for the Steak and Curry night on Wednesday night, 4 of us went and opted for the 2 steaks and 2 curries. Absolutely great meals, steaks cooked to perfection and so tasty! Curries were extremely tasty too. Staff were great, friendly and attentive! We highly recommend the food and pub, definitely give it a go ??

Smarts Fish Bar
23 Pier St, Lee-on-the-SolentJust great, called in lunch time for large chips and got a friendly welcome despite being very busy on the first sunny warm day of the year (25/02/26) and glad I did, shared them with my wife and daughter on the sea front and we all agreed how delicious they were.....will definitely be returning soon.
