Had a fantastic lunch here last week. The staff were great and the place was warm and welcoming. This is a independent free house which is rare in this part of the country these days.
We discovered this pub on a walk some time ago, but understand it has now been taken over. Rang ahead and reserved a table for 4 for Sunday lunch. I had a very nice Sunday roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, my other half the lamb and our friends the fish and chips. All were good, but for me the starters were stand out, the Trout pate was just superb. Good beer on tap, nice wine selection from what I saw, though we didn't have any.
