We attended a family wake at this venue, having been out of area we relied on sat nav to find it's location, even a basic nav dropped on the car park, where there was ample space. Once inside, it was very welcoming and decor, flooring to a very high standard indeed, quite upmarket infact. There were many options for drinks, real ales, ciders etc, as the location is remote there were also several zero alcohol products for the driver (ME). I had a lovely Sunday lunch with my Mum. Great to see a vegetarian and vegan option but still a roast dinner.Even better that dogs are welcome, it always makes me smile to see them.Vegetarian options: A great vegetarian wellington and a vegan nut roast were available.

The steak was great and well priced, nice ale, friendly smiley service and a great setting. It’s a shame the weather didn’t match. Definitely worth getting out of the city centre for.Kid-friendliness: Definitely great for families.Parking: Definitely worth asking at the point of booking, if parking will be an issue when busy. The space available ooks like it could cope though.
