Updated: a repeat visit in September 2025. Food not as great (but pretty good), service still good, but food took ages to arrive, and the restaurant was pretty cold. Have to reduce the rating from 5 to 4 stars overall.

The Saracens Head
47 High St, Kings LangleyAn incredibly honest little pub. Happy hour going on for so long is so nice and it’s never too busy on the weekdays. A good place to go with your mates or family for a quiet pint. Avoid when busy but it’s got great atmosphere, the bathrooms are well looked after and the seating is quite nice.
I am a local and it really brings this community together. Old and young can enjoy the pub.
The service is great, the televisions are nice although it’s more background noise for me rather than something to watch. I can imagine it is very fun when a big game happens!
I only wish there was a little more seating near the dart board and have the darts be an occasional event, when I went in, it was a lot of empty space with no one playing darts so it felt under-utilised. Other than that, still a fantastic little place.

The key is to bury the pepperoni in the cheese so it's not burnt like the usual muck at Domino's or pizza hut etc . The most friendly staff smiles all round were even kind enough to provide some water for my dog we ate outside and a lovely view of the canal and park and glorious sunshine. I cannot thank the owner enough of his generosity kindness and patience will never be forgotten I'm using this place in Hemel for life bloody brilliant ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Common, Chipperfield, Kings LangleyThe Windmill Pub, Chipperfield has truly been transformed since its new owners, Adam & Clare took over some weeks ago. Greeted by friendly staff, warm atmosphere accompanied by candles and fresh flowers on the tables really makes a difference , and the food—absolutely fantastic. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can really tell the new team cares about quality and customer experience.
It’s definitely a places to relax, enjoy a great meal, and feel right at home. Highly recommended!
