Didn't get food so unfortunately can't rate that, but the Rivertown SIPA was good.
A lot better beer options than other popular pubs in Buntingford.

69 High St, BuntingfordI’ve been planning to come here for over a year and finally got round to it, and I wasn’t disappointed. Great service on arrival, friendly staff with a welcoming manner. The food was amazing, well cooked, fresh and full of flavour. Three courses eaten and all were superb. The beef Wellington was a masterpiece!!! Head chef/owner came out to say hi and was also very friendly. The restaurant itself is really cosy and romantic. We are 100% coming back!!!

Westmill, BuntingfordThis is an exceptional tea room with a fabulous selection of home made cakes. The staff are friendly and helpful and everything is beautifully fresh, made with top notch ingredients. Seating indoor and outside, it's best to book at busy times.

53 High St, BuntingfordFirst time at the Viceroy - nice welcome on arrival with plenty of tables available (8pm on a Weds evening). Friendly staff throughout, food was excellent - really good portions so some take away for tomorrow’s lunch. Good veggie choices (Paneer Shashlik was lovely). Complementary drink after the meal. Bill was £35 pp for popadoms, starter, main and sides, including drinks (and tip) so not bad at all. Highly recommended and would certainly visit again when in the area!

57A High St, BuntingfordAbsolutely brilliant! Recommended by the whole town, was told it was the BEST fish and chips in buntingford and thought id try it me self. Service was great, every customers food was prepared fresh infront of me, got me food headed out and it was absolutely delicious! Best fish and chips me and the lass had in a while thats for sure. Perfect batter, quality fish. Every penny was worth it. Ill be down every week thats for sure.

32 High St, BuntingfordThe first time I have been here in about 3 or 4 years due to the absolutely terrible and inedible food I was served back then.(not sure if I could technically call it "food" though)Tonight I thought that I'd wing it, test out a few small dishes and see if there has been any changes...I ordered Salt & Pepper Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken (Hong Kong Style) Chicken Chow Mein, Pork Balls and some Prawn Crackers. Obviously not the most exotic of selections, but I didn't want to risk getting a bad meal again and throwing money down the drain.The S&P chicken was good. Not too much chilli and the perfect amount of salt, garlic and onions. Maybe more similar sized chunks of chicken would've made it better. (8/10)The S&S chicken was nice, but the sauce was extremely vibrant and quite possibly borderline radioactive ? I did like the fresh, raw onion though. Added a nice amount of crunch. (7/10)The chicken chow mein had a nice, smoky vibe to it, and the perfect ratio of noodle, chicken and been sprouts. (8/10)The Pork Balls were all a bit too smooth and uniform in shape, rather than a little bit rugged around the edges. It gave me a "pre-made" vibe, although I highly doubt this was the case.Pork to batter ratio could definitely have been better. (6.5/10)Prawn Crackers were spot on too. A nice amount of crunch, a good portion in a bag too! No massive complaints. (9.5/10)Overall, a reasonably surprising visit back to The Take Away House. It definitely could do with a lick of paint and freshening up, smokers from next door could be a bit more courteous and smoke away from the open door, and people waiting inside could be a bit more aware of their surroundings and move out of the way of the area where you order whilst drunkenly chomping on prawn crackers. But what can you do?The food was good, not great, not amazing. But definitely a night and day difference between the slop I was served 3 or 4 years ago.Parking: Behind SainsburysWheelchair accessibility: Questionable

The Buntingford Coffee Shop
61 High St, BuntingfordVery relaxed, nice friendly atmosphere. Yes, I agree with other reviewees that the service is long, but this is only because the food is made fresh and the place is very popular.
It is a truly amazing place and I hope that everyone who has frequented there and has worked/ is working there knows how special a place it is.
Strongly recommend going time and time and time again!
