80 High St, HarpendenFirst time in the Bangkok lounge. I have always wanted to try it out however much as the staff were very kind I feel the food was not as nice I I would have liked. Paid £85 pounds for two to eat. Which is fair if the food was spot on. Sadly I felt it wasn’t the best in quality.

20a Leyton Rd, HarpendenA party of 10 of us booked the private room here for my birthday celebration on Sunday, March 9. And what a totally excellent time we all had: for some of us it was their first visit so U was keen to get their opinion. Needless to say all 5 of them will be back! The vegetarians amongst us were particularly impressed with the choice of food, as were the omnivores . And the service was above and beyond: the staircase up to the private room is narrow and steep but no problem for the able-bodied; we were constantly amazed at the skills of the staff., especially Jaida and Mariana, navigating them with plates etc etc.\nWell done, Lussmanns!! Go to the top of the class!!

They have made a wonderful job of the refurbishment but as always the food is the star of the show! Pizzas are excellent and deserts too! All very reasonably priced too! If you’re in the area give it a go! No affiliation just a satisfied customer!!

On the warm evening I visited I was lucky to secure one of the few tables on the pavement outside, yet the service even as a solo diner was no less attentive or welcoming. The food menu is a good size with all the Italian classics and a decent range of pizzas etc. Drinks are equally the same and it’s nice for carafes of wine to be available too.\n\nI ordered a pizza and it was truly amazing - the perfect size and spot on with the volume of topping and cooked perfectly. It was clearly made fresh and remains one of the best I’ve tasted in recent times.\n\nGreat value for such a unique setting and I’d highly recommend.

They’ve got a smaller select menu, but everything we tried was amazing, full of flavour and fresh! Enjoyed the sharing element with the plates, works really well. The salted caramel tiramisu was a highlight!
Also loads of drink/cocktail selections, and the pornstar martini I tried was really well made.
Went to celebrate our anniversary and was given a glass of prosecco, lovely touch - can’t fault their service.
Definitely come back here again.

59 Southdown Rd, HarpendenWe went here a few weeks ago whilst visiting family in Harpenden. It was our first time to the restaurant. We were a group of 5 adults and 2 kids. The place has a great atmosphere along with friendly staff. We all ate and let me tell you the food was delicious. The team can’t do enough for you. We got to meet the chef Gab as I’m quite a picky eater but he was extremely happy to accommodate me. Everyone enjoyed the food and we will definitely be visiting again when in the area.

Very, very impressed and I’m not impressed easily which says something! \n\nThe interiors are great, super cosy, loads of nooks to eat, drink and work with privacy. \n\nA very special shout out to Sue, she’s fantastic, very warm and welcoming and had time to chat which is rare. A true asset and I will definitely be back.\n\nThis is a pub Harpenden definitely needs! \n\nYet to taste, rate the food but the menu sounds mouthwatering and according to Sue who well and truly went the extra yard, said the pie is fantastic! \n\nI am hoping…. My new local! ??

Return visit a few years on. The menu is a little more refined and very good. Particularly enjoyed the chopped tomato, cucumber and onion salad as a side dish. Lovely fresh mint tea to end the meal.

The food was hot and delicious, the cauliflower cheese as an extra was the best I've ever had! And the service was friendly and helpful. I would drive from Essex to eat here again as it was a very good meal.
Its a busy pub/restaurant so I would recommend to reserve a table.

The staff are wonderful and really quick to answer email queries, I went to visit the space with my Mum and a friend on two separate occasions and the staff were happy to oblige with that as long as another booking wasn't in. The team on the night were really accommodating and made the night a real success! Thank you so much, I've recommended it as a venue to friends and family. Will also be back for their delicious food as we got small plates to tide us over between setting up and the party and they were YUM!

The staff were absolutely wonderful and friendly, the food was amazing however the only thing that put a slight strain on the day and sad to say on the staff as well was their manager! For one very in appropriately dressed, wearing a top showing off her stomach is not appropriate attire for working in a restaurant and certainly not as a manager, two the manager was NOT very friendly or welcoming as matter of fact she was the complete opposite! You could clearly see this had an effect on the staff ! Which is a pity because the staff were absolutely amazing! The manager should not be in the management position with her horrible attitude and inappropriate clothing!

One such is a business colleague and he was kind enough to suggest we visit for lunch in the upstairs restaurant (four small but well furnished rooms).\nHailing from the north-east but living in exile in Kent for 50 years plus, the opportunity to indulge in "proper" fish and chips could not be missed. We both ordered the large cod with homemade chips and mushy peas and a side of homemade tartare sauce. This feast met all my requirements for a quality meal : fresh, moist fish with light crispy batter, twice-cooked crunchy chips and mushy peas riddled with flavour. No doubt about it - this was the real deal. Importantly the plate and food were piping hot straight from the ground floor fryers and served efficiently by a delightful young waitress. Overall cost including discretionary gratuity was £45.00 - fantastic value for money. Cannot recommend too highly for this genre of great British food.

I was so happy I called in! This was the perfect place to have a delicious breakfast. I had poached eggs and coffee and it was absolutely wonderful.

Took about 10-15 mins to come even on a busy lunchtime. Drinks of matcha iced coconut and honey and tea in a proper sized teapot also great. Nice shady outside seating area to the front great for a warm day. Staff were very welcoming.

106a Lower Luton Rd, HarpendenUsually go to Simmons in town but no need. First time in Shezzos. I had a Bacon sandwich on Multi seed brown, cup of coffee which came with a biscuit and last minute, I needed a piece of Victoria sponge (which l didn't need).
All were yum.

Leisure Centre, HarpendenI only have one complaint about Monty's, and that is that it closes too early on week nights. We regularly pop in on the weekend when we visit the park. But on week nights when we pop in for swimming lessons, the cafe is usually closed... At 5pm. But there are still people in the restaurant area. Surely those people could do with a coffee or a hot chocolate?! Seems like it closes an hour too early.

The food menu is a good size with all the Italian classics and a decent range of pizzas etc. Drinks are equally the same and it’s nice for carafes of wine to be available too.\n\nI ordered a pizza and it was truly amazing - the perfect size and spot on with the volume of topping and cooked perfectly. It was clearly made fresh and remains one of the best I’ve tasted in recent times.\n\nGreat value for such a unique setting and I’d highly recommend.

They’ve got a smaller select menu, but everything we tried was amazing, full of flavour and fresh! Enjoyed the sharing element with the plates, works really well. The salted caramel tiramisu was a highlight!
Also loads of drink/cocktail selections, and the pornstar martini I tried was really well made.
Went to celebrate our anniversary and was given a glass of prosecco, lovely touch - can’t fault their service.
Definitely come back here again.

5 Vaughan Rd, HarpendenAwesome, authentic Thai food. The flavours are amazing, the menu is vast. The staff is very friendly. We had a team dinner for 10 people and everything we ordered was excellent. Will definitely revisit.
