Esplanade, VentnorWe booked this restaurant for wedding anniversary celebration. We love seafood and interested by fusion food idea. The restaurant is packed and we couldn’t find a reservation on weekend so had to book Tuesday. It was okay as we had the time. But I’d highly recommend booking in advance. Even on a Tuesday, the restaurant was so busy!
The seafood platter was very very fulfilling and it was a good mixture of all kinds of seafood for 2 people’s portion. We ordered kids meal on the side for 3Yo.
They also have omakase but they wouldn’t be able to offer omakase with additional food from the menu which makes it very limited. Because we are 3 people, 1 being a toddler, ordering 3 omakase would be too much and 2 would be too little according to the restaurant.
But overall it was great experience! The restaurant is by the sea, on good days, the view can be great.

High St, Godshill, VentnorSecond visit in four days. The home made pies are fantastic - made on the premises, stuffed with gorgeous meat (we had chicken, and steak & ale) with superbly crispy pastry. Friendly staff, not too crowded, dog and child friendly. Well worth a visit.

Bonchurch Inn
Bonchurch Shute, VentnorFood was absolutely superb, the only disappointment was it was fully booked for the rest of our stay so couldn't return.
The lasagne was as good as the build up from other reviews and according to other in our group so was the salmon tagliatelle and garlic bread.
I thoroughly recommend a visit, just ensure you book early.

Grove Rd, VentnorAlthough the food was average, I'm giving them 5 star because they were lovely, kind, nice host and bar and kitchen staff.
They welcomed us and our dog and gave him doggy biscuits.
Not everywhere in this town, we saw pleasant and welcoming hosts!

28 Pier St, VentnorStopped in for lunch and was absolutely delighted. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, made even better by the lovely lady serving — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Her presence added a personal touch that made the experience feel special.
As for the food? Simply outstanding. Every bite was bursting with flavor — fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. It’s rare to find a spot where both the service and the meal are equally memorable, but this café delivered on both.

My only criticism is that the breakfast is so good I don't get around to trying the other (equally good) things on the menu often enough.

They also sell some really lovely trinkets and merch.

The True Food Kitchen
14 High St, VentnorWe came for a special meal today and every aspect was fantastic. The waitress was really lovely and accommodating for our three year old. Every plate was perfect, and some of the best food we’ve had on the island so far. We were lucky enough to experience the Twisted Roasts and both the pork and beef were amazing. As were all of the starters and desserts. My little one loved her tempura prawns, and the mountain of ice cream at the end. This wasn’t our first time, and it definitely won’t be our last. Thank you so much for such a lovely meal

The Royal Hotel
Belgrave Rd, VentnorMy husband and I had a champagne cream tea at the weekend.
We live locally and have had many lovely afternoons/evenings at this delightful hotel.
As always the gardens are absolutely beautiful (especially as it was a blue sky sunny day) the staff attentive, professional and friendly. Although we are always happy with the food, this was by far the best cream tea we have ever had ! Enough for me to write a review as did not want this to go unnoticed.
The scones were delicious and super fresh as were the finger sandwiches (I'm a vegetarian so the choice is not always exciting, but it certainly was on this occasion) and the really tasty cakes. I usually take what I can't eat home, but it was so exceptional,I managed to eat it all !!!!!!
There was also no compromise with the champagne, it was top quality.
Extremely high standards, arguably the best on the Island.

Lady Scarlett's Tea Parlour Isle Of Wight
The Esplanade, VentnorThis cafe is an absolute must visit if you’re in Ventnor, we try to go anytime we’re there! The homemade cakes we had recently were absolutely delicious and they also have a variety of drinks, savoury food and ice cream, all for a very affordable price. The owners and staff are lovely and the cafe has a really cool WW2 theme inside which makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time! The cafe is also great in any type of weather - the seats outside overlooking the sea are perfect for a sunny day, and it's super cosy inside if the weather’s not so good. I’d highly recommend visiting!
