Such a beautiful old (15th century) inn. Hidden away in the countryside near Chatham, it's a real destination stay.The main pub is old and cosy but the back is a recent add on, done to harnonise beautifully with the original.Perfect for exploring the area around, staff are delightful and went overboard in being friendly and helpful. I first visited the chimneys in the 1970s and it hasn't lost it's charm. We enjoyed three meals of steak, pork fillet and guinea fowl with a starter of squid. It was all delicious pub food and accompanied by some well kept Harvey's. The kitchen did rather let us down by refusing extra cheese biscuits as it was in the process of clearing up. We enquired if it would be a problem when ordering the cheese board and told, 'no' just ask.
