Winner of the Scouts 2024 Chip Shop Challenge!! Cornford’s is a great fish and chip shop, with some indoor seating, over 50 menu items, and great customer service. The very nice lady who works there was able to give us some extra for our challenge and everyone at Scouts admitted they were the best. Had got home and didn't fancy cooking, looked up fish ans chip shops remembered cornfords and was happy it was open, ordered online went to pick it up and the lady that served me apologized and said they didn't have the pie I had ordered and would I mind having a different one, I said no that's fine and went with the chicken and mushroom one instead, food was hot and well worth the money I paid it really hit the spot we definitely will be back.

Ordered a small cod and chips today. Fish was cooked to order but only took about 6mins which is more than acceptable. Chips were well cooked and the fish tasted great, nice crispy batter. Thank you.
