A highly recommended fish and chip shop in Margate. Would surely recommend after having travelled a long distance from Yorkshire. ???10/10

Tiarrah' Pizza Bar

I went last night with 3 friends and the food was delicious and service was very welcoming and warm as a reception. All the staff were very polite and the prices very reasonable. I’d highly recommend and felt very comfortable and welcome there. There were multiple options but of course we all went for pizza which was very tasty and the bread itself crust wise was delicious to eat! Thank you for a lovely evening. Highly recommend I will be back for more!!

The Med

Lovely little spot near the frontage. Came here as had clearly advertised vegan items and another dish that we chose on checking was vegan too. The houmous/ salad flat bread was lovely and filling. What seemed like the owner/ gentleman was very patient and helpful, all the staff were came across were nice. Would return next time in town

We had an amazing time sitting in the sun across from the beach. Yasmin was incredible helping us navigate the many great options on the menu. Delicious food, fantastic service, and a beautiful location! Highly recommend!

Alexandria Cafe

Very atmospheric cafe, the Egyptian shakshuka was absolutely delicious for breakfast. Halloumi was also delicious and well fried. Friend enjoyed the Egyptian coffee, and the ice latte was well made. Seems to serve halal food also, but lots of veggie/vegan options. The lighting is nice and soft for photos.

Mama Jinny Thai Kitchen

Phenomenal Thai good. Had to try the green curry and it was as if I went to my friends home and their mum made the dish. The seafood was cooked so well, the squid was like butter.

Dessert was delicious and the banana fritters had the best better I've ever tried.

Faith In Strangers

Had an incredible evening here.. the steak frites was spot on, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or attentive, really made the whole experience feel special. Love the vibe of the place too, it’s not just a restaurant but has that lively club energy that makes you want to stay all night. Can’t wait to come back!!

Bottega Caruso

We stumbled upon this lovely Italian and decided to eat here as it was the first time we had *ever* seen ziti on the menu, of Sopranos fame! We've been cooking it at home for years but it was a treat to taste how it is supposed to be made. We got on well with the staff - very attentive and friendly. They also sold this delicious alcohol-free bitter orange drink called Crodino that I couldn't get enough off. Topped off with refreshing sorbet in the sun... couldn't ask for more.

Consistently brilliant breakfasts over the years, never had anything but friendly and welcoming service. A Margate institution and a MUST visit for anyone going to Margs :)

Went in there the other day and the staff were extremely friendly and truly outdid themselves. Will definitely be going in there soon! If I could rate them more than 5 stars I would!

What can I say this place is a gem , if your not aware of Casa pizzeria then you will now !.
Top quality pizza slinging brought to you from Naples to Cliftonville .
I finally got to check out this place as I heard a lot of good things and I was not disappointed !.
Firstly the vibe and interior felt very homely and welcoming with the backdrop of Italian music playing .
The staff were very welcoming and I feel great customer service always sets a good tone for the rest of the meal .
So I ordered the garlic bread , meaty pizza I cannot remember exactly what was on it but it did have a spicy sausage element I asked for a recommendation and that’s what I went for :) , firstly I started off with a lovely limoncello because it can’t be an Italian restaurant without a limoncello so I knocked that back and it was orettt good .
First up I had the garlic bread , bake on this was lovely and crisp , garlic flavour in my personal opinion could be taken up a notch or two with bit more moisture .
Then we have the star of the show the meat pizza , wow !! Firstly the sauce was incredible , the dough executed to perfection lovely bake on the outer maybe tiny bit more char and the undercarriage perfectly cooked .
If you haven’t been then please at this little spot to your list of to dos in Thanet wether it be a date night or a spot of lunch you won’t be disappointed

We are visiting from the States and had the best experience dinning here. Chef Craig's dishes were phenomenal, Anais and Daniel were so serviceable, and the vibes were great! Highly recommend.

We able to accommodate us last minute. \nLovely atmosphere, the food was lovely freshly cooked. The staff extremely friendly and helpful as had to move cars half way through, so paused our main course Good variety on menu and there wasn’t a single scrap left on our plates delicious

Pomus Margate

What a fab Sunday lunch alternative, loved the chilled vibes and delicious sharing feast (generous inventive snacks to start, big cut main with plenty of sides, all for £27pp). We especially loved the mackerel flatbread, dauphinoise potatoes and crispy popcorn chicken that just so happened to be completely gluten free - my friend is coeliac and we couldn't believe she could eat everything on the menu! Can't wait to come back again

My boys and I had dinner at this amazing restaurant, and it’s a 10/10 from us! My sons truly enjoyed their meals — the food was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection ?. Well done to the chef!

The ambience was calm and peaceful, making it such a relaxing experience. A special mention to Angel and Shakira, who served us with such respect and professionalism — they represented the restaurant so well.

No doubt we will be coming back! Overall, the service was excellent ?. Highly recommend

Sète

A wonderful spot for dinner. The set menu is surprisingly good value too, letting you try some of the best items on the menu at a discount (2 courses for £20 or 3 for £23).

The star of the show was surprisingly the Courgette, Salsa Macha and Tofu, which was one of the set menu options and one we wouldn't have picked normally. But the pork rillettes, chicken schnitzel and roast peach with goats curd and walnut were all superb too.

A great spot that's strongly recommended.

Best pizza place no doubt, amazing service, fast delivery. Always polite and friendly and even take on order requests that aren’t on the menu :). Can’t recommend enough.

We have been here a few times and found the food very good bearing in mind the price point. On this visit though my wife had the chicken Skewers which came with onions. Unfortunately, they were sloppy and appeared to have been boiled with little or no frying. We did point this out at the time and was told "it's a new menu" which is why the advertised peppers were missing. We also had to pay for additional sweet chilli sauce for £1.29. I could have bought a whole bottle for that in our Chinese supermarket. The other dishes were really good. One small point, I couldn't add onion rings on the app so ordered at the bar. When they arrived there were 2 small onion rings !!\nWe will be back at some point as overall it is good value for money.

SARGASSO

We were in Margate for the weekend and had lunch here with our young daughter, it was fantastic. The food was excellent, every dish well balanced and full of flavour (the sardines on toast were a standout). Drinks were just as good, with a great wine list and inventive cocktails.

The staff were friendly, relaxed, and knowledgeable, and the whole place has a lovely atmosphere. Prices are more in line with London, but as Londoners we felt it was worth it for the quality. We’d already loved their sister restaurant, Brawn, and this lived up to it. Highly recommended! We’ll be back!

Mullins Brasserie

Fabulous lunch here. Great advice from the waiter regarding heat and laid back reggae. Jerk chicken, rice & pea, fried plantain and delicious gravy done just right. Might have to return for dinner as we are eyeing the curry goat....nom nom.

Marina Cafe

Newly opened cafe, overlooking the sea. They have chosen the best place for the summer.
Loved the interiors. Though I didn't eat much, but the menu looks attractive. Reasonable price.
Coffees are good. And they have got really nice shakes.
Will visit soon for a nice dinner.

Charcoal Grill

After foolishly going to a kebab closer to home one evening due to convenience I was reminded why charcoal grill are the kebab kings. the chicken shish is by far the best in Thanet.

Margate meltdown, Margate seafront was heaving ! Two Halves served up a couple of great pints at a good price. ( no exorbitant prices ) well done 5* we will be back soon !

Barnacles - Thorley Taverns

I never leave reviews, but this is an exception.
We went today for the England game as a first time visitor from Bedfordshire. I couldn't fault Nigel and the team.

Nigel was constantly touring the pub and making sure everyone was watered and had a seat, collecting glasses and bringing beers round, the staff at the bar were super attentive and were keeping an eye at who was at the bar first waiting. The atmosphere was incredible!!

The pub itself was super clean including the toilets. No complaints on any of the that front.
The only sad thing was two double gins was over £18. But for a one off for an incredible night it's not the end!
Not sure why they have food options on here as they don't do food.

Best spot in Margate.\nGreat staff, awesome views, clean, tidy and brilliant tunes.\nWhat's not to love? Go there and sink a glass or two in the sun and you won't be disappointed. I've been with family, business meetings and dates and highly recommend.

The Ali Raj Tandoori Restaurant

Great food and service.
Looked after the five of us very well and the price was very fair considering what we ordered (including a couple beers each).
Will be my go-to restaurant now for similar meals.

Peter's Fish Factory Margate

So whenever we are back in the UK a portion of fish and chips is a must. So when we headed to Margate foe a few days and found this place on the front we had to try it. We did a takeaway - but there is seating outside if you want to eat there. \nWe go there around 6.45pm and there was already a queue - but it’s worth the wait. We ordered 4 cod and chips (with salt and vinegar) and 4 lots of mushy peas. Food is served in boxes which you can eat out of and condiments are also available. \nFish was clearly fresh and the batter was perfect- not too heavy. Chips were also fabulous and crispy on outside, but soft when you bite in. Mushy Peas a perfect accompaniment. \nWorth the queue!!\nWould recommend and return!

Papa Johns Pizza

This is my go-to pizza place, i love it here it’s great, people are friendly, food is obviously amazing, and the prices are decent (if you collect, otherwise, the prices are horrendous), you really can’t go wrong. Only problems are that sometimes the hygiene is questionable, if you live nearby to this place you’ll know what I’m talking about, and the food may be a bit inconsistent sometimes, before I’ve received burned pizza, even borderline raw, doughy pizza, (could have just been soggy), but this happens once in a blue moon and it’s not always going to be perfect. Overall though, it’s great, the rating system here is weird so i rate it overall a 8.5/10.

So delicious! Tried it for the first time yesterday and already reordered today for a takeaway! So much flavor!! Definitely has become one of my favorite restaurants !! Also really great service!! Already dreaming of my next take away!

GB Pizza Co

Perfect sunset spot. Their pizza is pretty unique with extra thin crust. Doesn't make you feel stuffed after but feels light. They do 8 pound pizza deal on Mondays which is pretty awesome. The service was great too.

Baba Kebab House

Service is absolutely amazing! Made an order and the gluten free options were mixed up but one phone call and they've rectified all and sent so much more food than expected! Such tasty food, too!! Thank you guys, keep up the good work! Makes a difference to deal with someone who cares ?

Clock Tower Kebab House

Visited here yesterday with my 3 year old as she didn't want chip chop. Absolutly was not disappointed!! The kebab was 10/10 size big amount for a medium, not too greasy like most donors and on par with my favourite kebab place in london, my daughters kids meal was very large also she had burger and chips and ate more than normal. Would highly recommend! Staff lovely, resturant very clean and pricing was very reasonable for a sea side town

Curve Coffee - Cafe & Store

Walked in and immediate felt like I was going to get a good coffee and I was not disappointed. Cinnamon bun was good. Just a shame that we weren't timing it for lunch as both veggie and meat foccacias looked amazing. Would return to Curve.

Incredible food and coffee the best in Broadstairs by a mile. Always super friendly staff we love it here from a quick take away pick me up to a day time date for two. If you love speciality coffee and are passing through town this is a must visit.

Lilie's Margate

Great food and great service, shoutout to Katie for her responsiveness on Instagram to book a table and wonderful hosting. We ordered 6 dishes between two and were happily stuffed by the time we finished. The king prawns were delicious, as were the padron peppers and the croquetas de jamon.

Forts

This place deserves its high rating. This morning I was at home making myself some breakfast when it crossed my mind that nothing I make will be able to reach the standard that Forts Café set.

I ordered a flight of coffee, one espresso, one filter and one piccolo, and they came served on a bed of green coffee beans which my brother-in-law mistook for peanuts and instantly regretted his decision. The coffees were delicious and it was a really nice way to try some different coffees.

They adapted for my 5-year-old who insisted he just wanted scrambled egg on toast, though he later changed his mind when he was the french toast my sister-in-law ordered.

I had the veggie scrambled egg option, and it was a delight. The sourdough was soft, springy and full of flavour, the scrambled eggs were creamy and seasoned well, and the watercress salsa was just perfect.

I tried the french toast and it was a delight: the bread was brioche-like and soaked up the fruity flavours from the berries and the lemon mascarpone, plus you also got a small salty crunch surprise from the little bits of pretzel in the dish.

The three-cheese toastie my wife ordered was also lovely. One bite and your mouth was filled with just one big oozy delight, and the caramelised onions added to the flavour.

The servers were all very pleasant and helpful, and it was such a lovely experience. We had to wait 25 minutes for a table, but it was worth it. 10/10 would wait again.

Might have to move to margate only so I can hang out here more. Brilliant place!! Esp for alt and 30+ crowd!! Had the best time with the best staff. Thank you so much for all the ABBA ❤️

Went a few months ago as a last minute and it felt like I was back in Italy (even though I was in Margate!!) Stunning throughout and the staff are just as lovely. No faults I want to go back just to eat here again!

Find this place through a recommendation in the town. Great food, nice drinks selection and friendly staff. Got a grilled jerk chicken salad and would highly recommend.

Little Swift

Superb Italian platter, and delicious Time & Tide IPA, and a Provence Rose. Service was great, they described all the meats, cheese and oils and even supplied us with some of their pickled jalapenos. Great spot overlooking beach. Thanks

High Tide Social & Play Cafe

A lovely cafe which hosts numerous kid focussed events, does great coffee (and hot chocolate!) and has a toy-filled play area at the back. Perfect for taking young kids to!

Po' Boy "The Creole Fish Hut"

Fish and Chips… but not as you know it! If are craving that traditional British takeaway, but want it with a twist, you can’t go wrong with Po’ Boy. The Cajun spiced fish and chips is my favourite… as are the fish tacos. Go. You won’t be disappointed!

Alfies - Fish and Chips

The fish and chips were so crispy and of top notch quality. You pay a fraction of the price but get something much better than those in a nice restaurant. Best fish and chips takeaway!

Westbrook Cafe Burger & Grill House

As nearly all Margate is closed on a Mon and Tues this was one of the few cafes open for breakfast - and they do a great job. Thomas was on his own and cooked everything from scratch - very well cooked too. The only negative was the toast - needs more cooking and better butter - but otherwise 10/10 for doing a great job.

Lesters Family Pub and Restaurant

Amazing staff, very friendly. Food was great, very large portions. Called in on the off chance and so glad we did. Haven't even received my main yet and I felt the need to write this review.

Northern Belle

I took a wrong turn and walked down an alleyway only to be greeted by the best (and oldest) pub in Margate. Meeting three members of staff and all three being lovely, the customers being friendly and the prices being more than reasonable this pub instantly became an all time favourite. If you don’t come and visit this pub when you’re in Margate then I don’t know what’s wrong with you?!

Westbrook Fish Bar

Large haddock and chips freshly cooked to order. Batter was fluffy and light and very tasty. Good portions served hot. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff.
Chairs and a couple of tables for the eat in option.
Just a 10 minute walk from Margate station and well worth a visit.

So pleased to have found this cafe/restaurant. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed a lovely coffee and bacon sandwich in a really pleasant atmosphere. Thanks to all the team!

Recommended this place whilst visiting Margate for the weekend, we ordered a takeaway for 12 people and we’re not disappointed whatsoever, the ordering process was delightful and the food was delicious. Would recommend Lotus Garden.

The Laughing Barrel Micro Pub

Popped by on a Saturday, I'd been meaning to for a while but stuff got in the way.

VERY friendly welcome from staff and regulars. Everyone very chatty. By luck there was a sllilent disco, only £5. Large range of drinks, includibg gins, rums and good strong IPAs, lovely rums, very dog friendly.

Candy Stop Crepes Ice Cream Candy Floss

Really nice ice creams, just the right amount of choice. Amazing choices for sweets and fudge and also waffles etc if you have time to sit down.
The ladies that served us were really lovely.

Palm Bay Fish Bar

Enjoyed the fish and the chips as am from glasgow finding a fish shop that did a good fish supper was a nightmare here in kent but this one not that bad still the chippys around here can't do a proper battered sausage as a chippy in glasgow.

Best Beano Cafe & Restaurant

First time we visited the cafe as we couldn’t find anywhere around the area. Food was nice and served quickly, the staff member sounded angry but was really nice and polite

Lovely treat. The food is full of flavour, so tasty. We got the B for 2 people and mixed starter. The staff are very friendly and the Peking has beautiful Chinese ornaments and decorations. Will definitely be ordering from there again. Thank you ???
