We stopped early today had quick cuppa and tea cakes. Had a wonderful walk. For 3 hours headed back again had a lunch with friends menu’s not to be missed lots choice and everything made fresh. And best all does not break the bank
Looking forward to our next adventure is this log place

Moorcock House, Gisburn Rd, Blacko, NelsonJust been for a Sunday Lunch with a group of friends. This cafe has lots of space inside, is clean and nicely decorated as well as a small gifts area featuring many home made arts and crafts. The menu is extensive, covering a wide range of tastes. I had the veggie roast whilst others had the roast beef version.
Delicious roast potatoes, mash , vegetables and gravy! Lovely friendly staff ! Recommend booking!

The Bay Horse
Blacko Bar Rd, Roughlee, NelsonLovely pub in a scenic small country village. Called in for a drink as it seem like an ideal rest stop whilst out on a family walk. The young lady behind the bar was great, very informative and helped us out by giving us directions back to Barley where we had parked. We didn't eat as we had a picnic but from what we saw the menu looked really good with reasonable prices. Wouldn't hesitate to go back again and eat there next time. And thanks to the young lady we made it back to the car in one piece.
