The Bay Horse
Blacko Bar Rd, Roughlee, NelsonWell worth making the effort to have a meal here. Welcoming staff got us swiftly seated and looking at the menu. We decided on Chicken Supreme which was delicious, Fish, chips and mushy peas (not my daughters usual choice - but there was nothing left at the end!), and the Duck breast, which was perfectly pink.We shared 3 desserts, and so glad we did! The Pear crumble was fresh and sweet with not a teacebof sogginess. The Chocolate Amaretto pot was rich and dense but nicely set off by the dark cherries on top, and the Sticky Toffee pudding had just the right amount of burnt caramel sharpness to cut through the richness of the pudding.We were served throughout by the friendly, polite and knowledgeable Olivia who ensured we not only enjoyed our meal but are very likely yo book again soon.
