The Picnic Site (Barley Car Park, Barley Rd, BarleySituated right next to the car park. Serves food til 2.30pm when open, and then stays open longer for drinks and snacks. Recommend the hot sandwiches. Allow 15-20min wait for food on busy days. Free dog treats. Recommend the steak and ale pie.

The Sparrowhawk
152 Wheatley Ln Rd, Fence, BurnleyOut walking and called today for lunch. I had the Salmon and my wife the Lamb Henry, both were delicious as was the pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord. Attentive and efficient service too. Glad to patronise the Sparrowhawk, we will return and best wishes looking forward.

Barley Ln, BurnleyGreat pub for a bloomin' good sit down after a long hike. One of the best cheese and onion pies I've ever had (and I consider myself a connoisseur!)

Barley Mow
Barley, BurnleyVery nice pub. Wood fired stoves, cosy vibes and nice beers. Moorhouse's White Witch blonde ale tasting particularly good. Kingstone Press Apple Cider on keg, pretty good for the cider option. More setup as a restaurant, as most pubs are nowadays, with table service etc but still able to just order a couple of pints at the bar. Found a spot by the stove right by the door. All staff very friendly and helpful. Good crowd and good pub.
