On holiday in Blackpool for a few days.
On my birthday we decided to go for a meal here on arrival there was already a birthday group there celebrating.
I said to the waiter oh I see I'm not the only one with a birthday today.
He wished me happy birthday and took our order. The food that we ate was absolutely amazing and to top the evening off after we had eaten the 2 waiters came up to our table bearing a small birthday cake ice cream with a candle singing happy birthday to you.

Alfie and his family do so much to support the homeless in his community by providing free meals for in excess of 60 people twice weekly. Please support them by eating there at weekends so they can continue their excellent good work.

Had come to blackpool from north wales for a few days away, finding here was definitely one of the highlights. The food was amazing and such good value for money. Love this place food always good. On saying that o thought I would have a roast dinner today and was really disappointed. The gravy boat took up a third of the plate. Instead of three pieces of meat like it shows there was two small very thin pieces of beef ( very soft and chewy) Small roast potatoes and veg (veg was nice) and a Yorkshire pudding. I would say it was pensioner size (who can't eat a lot). I would suggest that the menu change to include a large roast or small roast. I would have been happy to pay a bit extra so I did not leave feeling hungry. The food is always hot and served well. Staff are lovely and helpful. I have been here a number of times and always left feeling full as portions are always very good. This is why I was surprised today. I have given 4 star for the size of the Sunday roast not the quality. As always the quality of food is good and I would always recommend friends to dine at Shovells.

As a semi-regular, I highly recommend the Albion. Their accommodation for private functions with a separate, very generous and well priced menu is unmatched. The staff take care of their regulars and don’t hesitate to remove undesirables.
The chefs are amazing! Highly recommend the mini hash-browns at breakfast, the sharing plates are fantastic and the fish and chips are better than the chippy across the road.
Georgia and Lee, specifically, have transformed the place into a truly welcoming place. This isn’t to take away from the rest of the staff as they are all absolutely brilliant. They really look after their customers. The band and quiz nights are a laugh too.
They also are one of the only pubs that I know that show the F1 practice sessions, quali, and race days.
The Albion is also dog friendly!! And I must mention their stained glass windows at the rear of the pub as they are absolutely gorgeous, as are the hanging baskets out front.

Hands down the best peri peri wings in Blackpool. I've been coming to yahgos for a good while now and always go for the ten piece wing meal. The wings are spicy, but not too spicy; they are succulent, and not once have they come dry. The secret marinade is a serious asset to the takeaway. The flavours that come through when you take that first bite are indescribable. You just won't get that level of peri peri anywhere else!

Red salt amplifies the chips, which themselves are pretty good to be fair, as far as chips go! I probably need to branch out more and sample other things from the menu, but I can't get enough of the wings, so that is what i stick with. They are my weekly fix!

I've actually had the milkshakes a couple of times too, though, and they do my taste buds some favours and are just what you need sometimes after a nice dose of spice! There are plenty of flavours to choose from, too.

The staff really are friendly, welcoming, and polite and treat you with respect as well as always being up for a laugh.

My only issue is, there's not one round the corner from my house!

Fortunately, the Squirrel has undergone a successful refurbishment & a complete change of management and menu.
Very pleased with the results as we have had disappointing meals here in the past.
Not so with the new improved Squirrel. The carvery has gone, thank goodness, to be replaced by traditional fare and also a good selection of Italian meals. The service is very good and the staff exceedingly friendly& obliging.
We will most certainly put it on our list of places to eat in the future & look forward to our next visit.

I wish I got his name because he was the nicest, politest, man I've ever spoken too! I came off the phone saying exactly that and when the guys came back with the food, I got told "I can see exactly what you mean about that place they're soo friendly!" We're 10 adults who love a kebab so we've had a fair few in our time...but for 10 fully grown adults to turn round and ALL say "This is the best kebab I've EVER had" says it all! At one point, through the mouthful of kebab meat I heard "I'd travel the 4 hours here just for this!" ??? The outside doesn't do it justice! Gove it a go, you won't regret it! Thank you Romeros!! ?

The menu had a lot of variety and all the breakfasts sounded wonderful. The place had a lovely atmosphere and was reassuringly busy. We had the steak and eggs on sourdough bread with avacado and chimichurri sauce. Honestly, it was the best food we had during our 5 day stay in Blackpool (by a mile). The steak (sirlion) was cut free of any fat and cooked to absolute perfection! The coffee was also lovely. We were just upset we only found it on our last day as we would have been regulars. An absolute highlight of our visit.

We visited this restaurant last weekend, we arrived down late and just popped by to see if they could accommodate us both.
We were made very welcome. Drinks order was taken very quickly and drinks arrived within a few minutes. Food order was taken and within 15 minutes our food was served. The portions were a great size, piping hot and the dishes were delicious. The waiter came over a couple of times to check that everything was fine with our food.
We were well looked after by the staff and made to feel very welcome.
On our departure we were offered a Baileys Irish Cream as a thank you for our custom.
I would highly recommend this place to people, this is a place we always dine in when we come down for a short break to Blackpool.

We arrived late in the day as most places were closing. We were looking at the menu outside, the gentleman came out and said we could sit and look if we didn't fancy anything we could leave. A party of 4 had 2 x homemade Moussaka, made on the day, served with generous portion of a wonderfully fresh Greek salad. 1 Chikken Tikka curry, generous potions of both the curry and chips. 1 x Steak pie served with chips and garden peas. A home made pie with generous portions of diced steak that melted in the mouth, our only comment would be that the gravy in the pie should have been thickened. We all had desserts, which were generous portions and extremely tasty. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It was only when I went to pay and was chatting that I found out it was past closing time. We were totally unaware of this and thank all the staff for the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and for not putting any pressure on us to hurry. Most places want you out on the dot at closing, not here they were wonderful left us totally unaware to enjoyed our meal

Lived in Blackpool 5 years and never knew this wee beauty existed so when me and my daughter came across it on google we thought we would try it out and we are glad we did food was perfect great atmosphere and staff are polite and friendly make you feel welcome we will be back again soon I would highly recommend popping in wether it's for a drink or some nice food

After a busy day in Blackpool we (11 family members) had a fantastic meal here. Food was superb. Service is what makes a good meal an excellent meal. We all left, relaxed, well fed and happy! Thank you.
Our coeliac was very well catered for too.

Ps. Well done on gentle lighting and music! An oasis of calm after a day of bright lights and loud music.
Highly recommend this restaurant, and if we are ever back in Blackpool we will be back here.

Absolutely fabulous. The food was delicious, hot and perfectly sized portions. Importantly for me, one of my bete noires, the veg was cooked with a crunch and a compliment to the meal rather than a trivial afterthought. Very good a la carte, great specials and a comprehensive set menu. We had classic Sicilian red wine ... very, very nice. The staff were friendly and efficient without being over-facing. Competitively price. The best Italian food on the Fylde coast (in my opinion). Book (with confidence) - it was very busy (Tuesday evening 6:30-7:00 pm arrival, which should tell you something).

Had a lovely fish & chips dinner last night, sat in for a change!
I had a small lightly battered haddock & small chips, so glad I ordered a small as they are large portions ?
The fish was super fresh and beautiful, chips to die for and homemade tartare sauce, also curry sauce which was lovely ?
Probably the best Fish & Chips I've had in a long time!
The customer service was second to none, Chantelle was wonderful!
I highly recommend Taylor's to anyone living in Blackpool or visiting, you won't be disappointed, real people and real, proper fish & chips!

Okay where to start with this one, I decided to pop along to see what was going on, I turned up when karaoke was on, and I must admit it was good but was left a little down hearted only because there was not one person who could not sing (that's what karaoke means does it not) if I wanted to sing I would have ended up feeling like I was been auditioned for the voice!
I also noted immediately that the same people sang in turn although they were excellent singers in their own right, I feel that more could be done to get others whom don't sing as good to try by way of a competition with maybe the 1st place getting a free drink or something, even in saying this it was good to hear different ranges of the locals.
I then went back another night, yes bingo night my good god was a wickedly funny and great night £1.00 to play first few games and then a couple of £2.00 games, now this is where it gets really different! The gorgeous female bar staff and compere play bingo but if they win they do not collect the winnings but they turn this over to the pot for the next game (absolutely 10 out of 10 for this alone) I do not know anywhere or anyone who does this.

The drinks are good value and plenty to choose from, the rooms are good value and breakfast is very reasonably priced, but if one wishes to stay in a adults hotel then please make sure you book many months in advance as I've been trying and still can't get a stay, hopefully you may be better at it than me and get a stay. Overall a great little bar with friendly folks xx

Very nice food :) 10/10 all round. This has to be the best takeaway I've been to in Blackpool. Food is top quality and fresh. Presentation of the meals was 10/10. The staff are nice and they run a very clean kitchen. Today was my first time trying bento, the pic is the stir fried mixed vegetables in oyster sauce, Korean wings and rice.
