On my birthday we decided to go for a meal here on arrival there was already a birthday group there celebrating.
I said to the waiter oh I see I'm not the only one with a birthday today.
He wished me happy birthday and took our order. The food that we ate was absolutely amazing and to top the evening off after we had eaten the 2 waiters came up to our table bearing a small birthday cake ice cream with a candle singing happy birthday to you.

Fabulous place, eaten there this evening, 2 adults &2 children. Dough balls & a variety of pizzas. The dough, made by Alfie is fabulous, so light, the pizzas looked and tasted amazing. Alfie and his family do so much to support the homeless in his community by providing free meals for in excess of 60 people twice weekly. Please support them by eating there at weekends so they can continue their excellent good work.

Four people, two starters, four mains. Seated very quickly on a Saturday night - don't let the wait put you off, the restaurant is bigger than it looks. Starters were nothing special and very basic. Was hoping for burrata but got rubbery mozzarella. Mains were excellent: Spaghetti Diavolo was very good with beautiful silky sauce and the right amount of heat from the chili. Bolognese and cannelloni also hit the spot, as did the pepperoni pizza (five stars for that alone). Shot of limoncello with the bill. Would come back but stick to main courses only.

Love this place food always good. On saying that o thought I would have a roast dinner today and was really disappointed. The gravy boat took up a third of the plate. Instead of three pieces of meat like it shows there was two small very thin pieces of beef ( very soft and chewy) Small roast potatoes and veg (veg was nice) and a Yorkshire pudding. I would say it was pensioner size (who can't eat a lot). I would suggest that the menu change to include a large roast or small roast. I would have been happy to pay a bit extra so I did not leave feeling hungry. The food is always hot and served well. Staff are lovely and helpful. I have been here a number of times and always left feeling full as portions are always very good. This is why I was surprised today. I have given 4 star for the size of the Sunday roast not the quality. As always the quality of food is good and I would always recommend friends to dine at Shovells.

A Green King pub with all the usually trimmings you'd expect from the group.
This can be popular in a good way, so dont be n out off with people hanging around the entrance door.
Visited in Jan 2026, a large pub and decent drink and food selection with offers on both.
Staff are friendly and efficient.
Nice oun but showing wear and tear in many places and toilet facilities are a prime example (sink panels dropped off, loose taps, cold hand dryer, worn flooring etc).
As this is a good value venue, you can overlook most of the common issues.

The Albion

As a semi-regular, I highly recommend the Albion. Their accommodation for private functions with a separate, very generous and well priced menu is unmatched. The staff take care of their regulars and don’t hesitate to remove undesirables.
The chefs are amazing! Highly recommend the mini hash-browns at breakfast, the sharing plates are fantastic and the fish and chips are better than the chippy across the road.
Georgia and Lee, specifically, have transformed the place into a truly welcoming place. This isn’t to take away from the rest of the staff as they are all absolutely brilliant. They really look after their customers. The band and quiz nights are a laugh too.
They also are one of the only pubs that I know that show the F1 practice sessions, quali, and race days.
The Albion is also dog friendly!! And I must mention their stained glass windows at the rear of the pub as they are absolutely gorgeous, as are the hanging baskets out front.

Last minute trip to Blackpool, looked through the hundreds of hotels then decided to book this one. Got a good deal, staff were friendly and very helpful when we asked for extra pillows and new towels, no breakfast first day as not many guests. Breakfast second morning as place filled up and it was very nice. You pay for what you get and I felt it was value for money, would stay again, tram stops about a hindered yards away so make town very accessible.

We hired Kwizeen to do our catering for our wedding at the River Barn on the 17th of August 2025, and we cannot recommend Marco, Tony, and the team enough. Since the wedding, we have had a lot of compliments about our day, and much of them have been about the food— it was delicious, and the service was insanely smooth and efficient. Marco and Tony were highly trustworthy and reliable from start to finish, operating on good old-fashioned business principles. They were great value and would recommend them in a heartbeat. There’s so many teas to choose from and the staff is more than willing to walk you through the selection and even different ways of enjoying your beverage. Afternoon tea was a pure delight and delicious. I also tried the best coffee I’ve ever had (kopi luwak).

This shop also displays artwork and even holds art related events, like watercolor classes and photography walks). I highly recommend you stop by!

I wish I got his name because he was the nicest, politest, man I've ever spoken too! I came off the phone saying exactly that and when the guys came back with the food, I got told "I can see exactly what you mean about that place they're soo friendly!" We're 10 adults who love a kebab so we've had a fair few in our time...but for 10 fully grown adults to turn round and ALL say "This is the best kebab I've EVER had" says it all! At one point, through the mouthful of kebab meat I heard "I'd travel the 4 hours here just for this!" ??? The outside doesn't do it justice! Gove it a go, you won't regret it! Thank you Romeros!! ?

We went here for breakfast and were blown away by the food on offer. We weren't sure as it was kind of advertised as a tapas place but we needn't have worried. The menu had a lot of variety and all the breakfasts sounded wonderful. The place had a lovely atmosphere and was reassuringly busy. We had the steak and eggs on sourdough bread with avacado and chimichurri sauce. Honestly, it was the best food we had during our 5 day stay in Blackpool (by a mile). The steak (sirlion) was cut free of any fat and cooked to absolute perfection! The coffee was also lovely. We were just upset we only found it on our last day as we would have been regulars. An absolute highlight of our visit.

This restaurant however was brilliant with their knowledge of allergies, adaptations of the menu and the choices were plentiful. The food was lovely. I had satay skewers to start and then I shared sweet and sour chicken and beef in black bean sauce with my husband. The batter on the chicken was delicious and you couldn't tell it was all gluten free. They switched the sauces to include gluten free soy sauce and really made me feel at ease. We visited this restaurant last weekend, we arrived down late and just popped by to see if they could accommodate us both.
We were made very welcome. Drinks order was taken very quickly and drinks arrived within a few minutes. Food order was taken and within 15 minutes our food was served. The portions were a great size, piping hot and the dishes were delicious. The waiter came over a couple of times to check that everything was fine with our food.
We were well looked after by the staff and made to feel very welcome.
On our departure we were offered a Baileys Irish Cream as a thank you for our custom.
I would highly recommend this place to people, this is a place we always dine in when we come down for a short break to Blackpool.

We arrived late in the day as most places were closing. We were looking at the menu outside, the gentleman came out and said we could sit and look if we didn't fancy anything we could leave. A party of 4 had 2 x homemade Moussaka, made on the day, served with generous portion of a wonderfully fresh Greek salad. 1 Chikken Tikka curry, generous potions of both the curry and chips. 1 x Steak pie served with chips and garden peas. A home made pie with generous portions of diced steak that melted in the mouth, our only comment would be that the gravy in the pie should have been thickened. We all had desserts, which were generous portions and extremely tasty. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It was only when I went to pay and was chatting that I found out it was past closing time. We were totally unaware of this and thank all the staff for the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and for not putting any pressure on us to hurry. Most places want you out on the dot at closing, not here they were wonderful left us totally unaware to enjoyed our meal

It was amazing to enjoy proper nigerian affang soup, okro and jollof rice whilst on holiday in Blackpool, the soup was spectacular, the rounded yam filled us well and the rice was great quantity. Highly recommended. If you are ever in Blackpool, ring Osayi and get there. You will keep going back.

35 mins later we had a table... not ideal but the apology, free bruscheta and drink and speedy service meant we had enough time to have our meal.

Would recommend the lunch time special, as it's great value and the quality of food is fantastic.

Lived in Blackpool 5 years and never knew this wee beauty existed so when me and my daughter came across it on google we thought we would try it out and we are glad we did food was perfect great atmosphere and staff are polite and friendly make you feel welcome we will be back again soon I would highly recommend popping in wether it's for a drink or some nice food

Absolutely fabulous. The food was delicious, hot and perfectly sized portions. Importantly for me, one of my bete noires, the veg was cooked with a crunch and a compliment to the meal rather than a trivial afterthought. Very good a la carte, great specials and a comprehensive set menu. We had classic Sicilian red wine ... very, very nice. The staff were friendly and efficient without being over-facing. Competitively price. The best Italian food on the Fylde coast (in my opinion). Book (with confidence) - it was very busy (Tuesday evening 6:30-7:00 pm arrival, which should tell you something).

We got the large English Breakfast and Scottish Breakfast, both were great portions and tasted great.

It has limited seating and seems like a popular place. They don't do take outs.

Creams in Blackpool. What a place to be. I went today and ordered a delicious slushy, which left me thirsting for more. The staff were friendly and welcoming, I felt right at home. The music which was played was upbeat and made my day brighter. A special thankyou to the ginger staff member who served us, making the slushy precisely and with speed.

Partner contacted restaurant before our visit asking what oil the fish and chips were cooked in...amazed that they responded with Palm only, so a big thumbs up as partner follows vegetarian principles.
Shop frontage well lit as you walk down the street. Restaurant interior very clean.
Then came the food....Ordered 2 cod specials for £15.95 each. They ask how you like your batter...Light or normal.
Bread, hot drink and side (peas, beans, curry etc). Well have to say, the food was piping hot, and the chips and fish were cooked to perfection.
So thankyou to the staff for a great fish supper x2.

Had a lovely fish & chips dinner last night, sat in for a change!
I had a small lightly battered haddock & small chips, so glad I ordered a small as they are large portions ?
The fish was super fresh and beautiful, chips to die for and homemade tartare sauce, also curry sauce which was lovely ?
Probably the best Fish & Chips I've had in a long time!
The customer service was second to none, Chantelle was wonderful!
I highly recommend Taylor's to anyone living in Blackpool or visiting, you won't be disappointed, real people and real, proper fish & chips!

Fab little find probably one of the nicest tasting fish I have had. Everything was so fresh, staff were friendly and had a sense of humour. Restaurant was modern and clean. We are a big family (11) and reserving us a large table at short notice on a Saturday evening was no trouble. Definitely will be visiting again.
